Help! Go Port Canaveral Customer Reviews

Take this from someone who has cruised over 9 times. DO NOT book with GO PORT CANAVERAL. They are crooks! The hotels only charge them about 75$ USD per night, and there packages around around 180$ USD for 2 people for 1 night. And the suttles can be around 40$ both ways for 2 people. GO PORT CANAVERAL is ripping you off!! They have terrible customer service. If you call they may seem extremely polite but they steal from customers. If you have an issue they are not helpful and they YELL you customers over the phone! I have had so many people who had problems with them, do not take that chance!

I find it strange that after so many good reviews up pops one with a supposed bad opinion (see cruisinggirl1804). Hard to believe someone who has only 1 post and has just become a member in this month. I'm still looking forward for more positive reviews so I can use them in December.

It is weird. I have a positive review above from this past Dec - and I found it to fairly priced. I checked pricing separately to the same hotel and shuttle. Go port canaveral was priced less for us. Anyone can do their homework and see how it works out. For us it was worth using them!

I do not know this company at all and cannot figure out where exactly they are located here in my neighborhood but from their website it appears they are very honest and open about their business model. They are a DMC meaning they do not operate/own hotels, transport vehicles or parking lots. They add value to the cruising experience by packaging transfers and lodging.

Not all cruisers are comfortable with researching and booking every aspect of their vacation a-la-carte. I know some in my own family prefer to use specialist travel consultants when cruising instead of searching through CruiseCritic and Tripadvisor for advice.

To me at least, it appears Go Port Canaveral covers a niche for cruisers like my family and that is a positive for the Space Coast area.

My uneducated suggestion is to compare their quotes with a few ground operators (hotels, transportation companies) and if things are competitively priced then go for it! I do expect it may cost a bit more to buy a peace-of-mind package rather than research and self-booking all the stand-alone components but who knows; they may have negotiated deals in place and lower costs as a result.

I just booked with them for our cruise in 2 weeks. We live local (Orlando) so don't need all the hotel stays, airport transfers or anything. Seems like common sense to get a deal like this when you don't have a whole bunch of dependent travel. And paying $120 for port parking? No thank you, I would like to put that money to better use.:)

We booked a package with GPC for our April, 2015 cruise. We were very happy with the service they provided! Pickup from our hotel (Hampton Inn MCO - more on the hotel in a sec...) was punctual (to the minute). TravelLynx bus with rear lavatory. Smooth, comfortable ride. Post-cruise, we had to wait 20 minutes for pick up just outside DCL terminal; the delay was due to the driver finding himself on the wrong side of a draw bridge.

The hotel: clean, modern & had a nice outdoor pool, that our kids really enjoyed. Hernan at the front desk was friendly & very helpful. Free hotel shuttle will take you to Walgreens, local restaurants, etc. Mini market just across the street has a nice selection of wines/beer. On-site laundry facilities ($2 to wash, $2 to dry). Complimentary breakfast was good, coffee was hot & got our day off to a good start.

IMHO, you won't go wrong with GPC. We'll use them again for our Jan '16 Disney cruise.

I used this service for me and my family on May 1 to 5. After using this company to get a behind the scenes look and doing research, this is the biggest rip off I have ever seen in my life. This company is overcharging customers for what they are selling. I see that the "packages" include transportation from MCO to certain airport hotels "complimentary in the package price".....whats funny is, that is free anyways... ALWAYS! TRAVELERS BEWARE AND KNOW WHAT THESE THINGS COST INDIVIDUALLY! Don't be another victim to this company's greedy ways of earning a living.

They may have charged for the free services, but what about hotels? Right now I am looking at $159 with GPC, when I go to the actual site~$400+.

Our package did not "include" hotel transport to/from MCO since the hotel already provided a shuttle for free. In fact, we had to call the hotel directly for transport to/from MCO. However, through GPC, we got an excellent 2-night room rate (I did my homework & called hotels directly for their rack, AAA & other discounted rates). Some hotels provided transport to/from PC for TWO but we're a family of 4 and would've had to pay additional for our kids. Our GPC package DID include transport for all of us to/from Port Canaveral, which was about an hour from our hotel. To us, the savings was significant & the package was worth what we paid for it. But... To each their own.

Glad I found this post, we are a group of 4 friends looking to get from Orlando airport to a hotel and then on the Port Canaveral for our first NCL cruise. None of us have flown into this airport or cruised from this port before. Go Port Canaveral looks like a great option for us.

I just returned from a cruise and did not have a positive experience with GoPortCanaveral. I have contacted them about my experience and hopefully we can resolve something.

Do *not* book the Days Inn Titusville- the front desk people and breakfast were fine but the rooms were awful. None of us got a good nights' sleep- the beds were uncomfortable and the bathrooms so dirty.

Travelynx was OK on the way out but beyond awful and disorganized on the way back, we waited 2 hours for a shuttle back to Titusville with 3 kids and 12 bags, dragging them all over based on what the 'dispatcher' was telling us.

Until they will speak with me and make amends for the awful service we received, I cannot recommend working with them.

Ok! So, we're back from our cruise! We booked the Fly, Snooze, Cruise package with Go Port Canaveral. We flew into MCO and the hotel shuttle picked us up about 20 minutes after our flight landed. We stayed at the Hampton Inn, which was newly remodeled, and beautiful. It was also in walking distance to several restaurants. The next morning, the Travelynx shuttle came at 10:30 am, right on schedule. It transported us to the port for our cruise. After the cruise, the shuttle was waiting for us as we disembarked and drove us directly to the airport. We had an excellent experience! :D

what time was your flight? and whats a safe time to fly out?

I will definitely use go port Canaveral again!! We had a wonderful experience with them!! Our flight landed at 12:30 am We were headed to baggage when I got a message from our driver telling me exactly where to meet him. He was waiting there for us, which was great since we were two women travelling on our own!!!

In the morning the hotel shuttle America's best, took us to the port.

Post cruise once outside the terminal there was a desk set up with a sign saying Travelynx . Went over to the desk signed in and we were directed to a bus which took us right to our terminal.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but has anyone used Go Port Canaveral for a direct transfer from the airport to port (no overnight stay)? I booked them for a March cruise and wanted to know about the pickup process at the airport

I had an "iffy" experience. I will say that Go Port Canaveral did work to resolve the issues though. We used them this past February. When we landed at MCO, I called as instructed and was literally yelled at for not calling when I got to baggage... I did as was instructed in my paperwork. The person then couldn't find my reservation. I asked to speak to a supervisor who then took over and was sent a private driver. Situation worsened from hotel to port the next day but that was resolved as well... Would I use them again..... If the price was right....but doubtful.

Thank you for the honest review! It seems the reviews are half and half. For $29 round trip I feel like the price is right. Hopefully all goes well!

If I could give a company zero stars I would. Do not, DO NOT under any circumstances use this company. Their customer service team including supervisors are extremely rude and have taken over a month to issue a refund. At this point, given their lack of professionalism, I doubt I will ever see a refund.

Do you mind me asking what exactly happened?? I only ask because I'm planning on using them in March

I asked for a refund (over $1000) over a month ago and still nothing. I've called at least ten times, there is never a supervisor available and the don't return messages. I got my credit card company involved. And suddenly a supervisor was available. He was extremely rude, said he'd send a check but alas, still no refund.

Why are you looking for a refund? I've only had good experience with them.

Because I asked for private transportation to the hotel and instead they booked group transportation that picked us up hours after we arrived and they couldn't tell me how many stops before ours. Not what I envisioned for my 75 year old mother and my 3 year old niece with Downs Syndrome.
