Doug J Posted June 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Just read that the first 48 hrs in the Lido was under Sanitary restrictions. We will be on Zuidy in July. Is this the health procedure?
fsdj1097 Posted June 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Just read that the first 48 hrs in the Lido was under Sanitary restrictions. We will be on Zuidy in July. Is this the health procedure? The first 48 hours on all HAL ships are under Code Orange - no self service in the Lido. After that, if there are no reports of GI-related sickness, the Code Orange is lifted. Rare mskaufman Posted June 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2014 That's the way it was when we sailed on her.
Rare kazu Posted June 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Code Orange (the first 48 hours) is standard procedure on all HAL ships. It's meant to try to prevent a Norovirus outbreak.
Typhoon1 Posted June 2, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Code Orange is standard procedure in the entire fleet.

Krazy Kruizers Posted June 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 2, 2014 Code Orange for the Lido began back in 2009. It had helped to prevent the Noro virus from starting on a cruise. On some ships the Neptune Lounge is also not self service for the first 48 hours for those passengers staying in the PS and Neptune Suites. And sometimes the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast for the PS and Neptune Suites are also affected.
Island Lovers Posted June 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2014 It is routine, no cause for alarm. Make your plans and enjoy the cruise! :) It is wonderful that they err on the side of caution, attempting to keep everyone safe and healthy.
