South America embarking question in Buenos Aires

In looking at the itinerary to sail on a 14 day South American cruise from Buenos Aires to Santiago in 2016, am I correct in reading that you actually embark the day before sailing? So, basically, your ship is your hotel for a night in BA and you then have the whole "2nd" day as a day to visit BA before sailing that evening?

To do Buenos Aires justice, you need to spend at least three days there.

If you flew into BA two days before, that would be great.

You can do a lot on your own in BA, it has a good METRO system, even though it is a bit antiquated.

Don't miss taking in a Tango show.

We saw Tango Porteno. The show is located next to the Teatro Colon (beautiful opera house). Link at http://tangoporteno.com.ar

Here is my review of our BA visit and cruise.
