travelfreelasvegas Posted June 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2014 Does anyone know where I can store some luggages in Venice before the cruise. Plan to spend a week in Florence before the cruise and prefer not to drag excess luggages. Will Celebrity accept them early? Thanks
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2014 Not sure what you are asking...Are you flying into Venice and then going to Florence? Or are you coming from Florence and want to tour Venice without luggage? I understand there is luggage storage (for a fee) at Piazzale Roma, or you could drop off your luggage at the ship and go out to tour...EM

goofysmom99 Posted June 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2014 What I've done in other cities is to book a night in a hotel then ask to leave my luggage until I return and stay another night. I've never been turned down. Did it in Rome so I could tour Italy by train for a week with just a 22" rollaboard and a backpack. Also worked well in London to do the same thing to Paris. I'm sure there are many other options, but this has worked well for me.
4774Papa Posted June 3, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2014 I assume that you are going to Florence by train. I believe you can store luggage at the Santa Lucia rail station. Also, the hotel option, mentioned above is a possibility.
CathyCruises Posted June 3, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2014 There is a left luggage facility right at the airport in Venice--we just used it. Outside the main doors on your right when leaving. 6 euro per day per bag. We just took a small carryon into Venice, worked great. SO nice not having to lug luggage. . . 2theship Posted June 3, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 3, 2014 I was Googling to find the info about the luggage storage we've used in Piazzale Roma in Venice. Instead, I came across this which has every luggage storage option in the city: http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/venice-left-luggage.htm
