Squidward Q Tentacles Posted June 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Here is a short video of the pool deck at night. I like how you can see the dark side of the moon when I zoomed in on it,
janpo Posted June 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Nice video's! We sailed the Pearl in November 2012. Great seeing it again! Had a fantastic time!
Barb Nahoumi Posted June 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Loved the video of my favorite NCL ship. Was on it in 2009, for Panama Canal Cruise.
pisenor Posted June 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Very nice video. It brings back fond memories of being on board her. However watching this video is a sad reminder that NCL removed the slide. For me it is not a deal breaker but I am sure my DS might disagree. I feel bad for all the small guests and their families that will miss out. Our next cruise we are sailing on the Dawn, which also does not have a slide. My son is a little disappointed right now about the slide but we will just wait and see how his cruise was after our trip.

Squidward Q Tentacles Posted June 6, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted June 6, 2014 was that taken just a week ago? Looks very recent. That was on our April 4, 2014 cruise. I have been too busy to edit the videos until now.
isaiahsnana Posted June 8, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2014 How late are the hot tubs open? We will be on the Pearl next week.
montecarloss Posted June 8, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 8, 2014 Nice video Squidward. Heres a little science for you. You can't see the dark side of the moon. What you are seeing is the Earths umbra, or shadow, that is being cast onto the moon.
Squidward Q Tentacles Posted June 8, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Nice video Squidward. Heres a little science for you. You can't see the dark side of the moon. What you are seeing is the Earths umbra, or shadow, that is being cast onto the moon. Thanks! But I still say it is the dark side of the moon, what you are describing I would say is when the shadow passes across the moon during an eclipse. :) Edited June 8, 2014 by Squidward Q Tentacles
Squidward Q Tentacles Posted June 8, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted June 8, 2014 How late are the hot tubs open? We will be on the Pearl next week. I have been out there at 2 am and they were being used. I think as long as the ocean is not too rough they stay open a long time.
rvsullivan Posted June 8, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 8, 2014 Thanks! But I still say it is the dark side of the moon, what you are describing I would say is when the shadow passes across the moon during an eclipse. :) First, nice video!! But, the dark side of the moon is never visible on earth and was first filmed in 1959 by the Russians with a probe. The post is correct in what you filmed is the shadow of earth blocking sunlight from the visible side of the moon. Still pretty impressive though!!! Thanks for posting!
