Aft balconies on the Radiance class

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I just booked cabin 1104 on the Serenade and I have never been on that class ship. There are a few other D1 cabins available and I am looking for the biggest balcony I can get on the aft. Still available are 9256, 8672, 8670, 7674 and 7174. Are any of those bigger than the one I have? Thanks for any help.

You are booked into our favorite cabin!

We've sailed in both 1104 (many times) and 9256 on a b2b. Although many people prefer 9256, we found we prefer 1104. There's more usable balcony and less wind when the ship is at sea.

That is good. When I saw 9256 on the deck plans, I tried to get it but didn't see it available on any of the dates March through April. Do you have any pictures you can share of the deck on 1104?

Loved it

Thanks for sharing, that looks like a nice size deck. I guess the secret is out though..... I could not find that cabin available for the Southern Caribbean in 2016.

From your signature it looks like you will be on the Serenade with us. We snagged 9256 in March when the itineraries first came out. It is our 1st aft and we're looking forward to a new experience.

Make sure you join the roll call, if you haven't already. There are several people already posting.

Ok, so you got the big balcony:) Yes, we are on that cruise, just booked it on the BOGOHO sale. Ok, I will get over to the roll call.

We will be sailing on the Radiance Aussie Top and Bottom cruises in Feb - March 2015 in 9256. Wind will be a good thing especially near the Equator on the top cruise.

My wife and I stayed in 1104 on the Brilliance last year and loved the balcony (picture included). We especially enjoyed having a glass of wine out on the balcony while sailing away from each port. You're going to love it!

I stayed in 1102 and have been in 8168 and 9256 a few times.. I personally prefer being on 8 or 9 due to the sound from the windjammer chairs being moved over us when you are on deck 10 - it never woke me up but did prevent me from falling back to sleep .. we typically do the Boston to FLA repo in the fall with lots of sea days ....love the aft balconies..

What about the cabins on the Radiance 7676 and 7674, their Aft and right beside each other, will the balcony doors open? Are these good cabins for Alaska

Unfortunately, the dividers between balconies on Radiance class ships are part of the superstructure, and cannot be opened.

Hello All -

It appears to me the 9256 on Radiance has less intrusion from the balcony support pillars than the newer (jewel, serenade, brilliance) ships. I still think these corner afts are great but I wanted to make this note - see Jewel pic attached. Thanks
