How to post a message on the cruise compass?

I would like to post a birthday message on the Allure compass for our sailing in September 2014. Who do I contact? How early do I need to do this before the compass is printed? How much does it cost? Anyone out there know?

You would contact Guest Services. Last time I checked it was $25.

Not sure....but I believe you just go to Guest Services and I think it is a $25 charge.

Not sure if it varies by ship, but when we were on FOS in May, they had stopped doing announcements in the Compass.

The Liberty has also stopped doing the announcements as well.

Brilliance, Jewel, and Grandeur have stopped as well. They print the music schedule in instead of announcements.

I like that they added back the music schedule. They used to have that in the previous format of the Compass, and I missed having all the music in one section.

I was hoping to contact someone at Royal to get a message on the Day 1 Compass for a couple of friends sailing on Independence in July - anyone know if I can do this from "on land" or if they have also stopped the announcements on Indy?

Besides contacting the Concierge, I wouldn't know of any other way to get announcements on the day 1 Compass. This is assuming they still put announcements in the Compass, which it seems is going away.

I tried back in April on the Independence. I was told by the Suite Concierge that they stopped.

Aww, that's a shame... I loved reading about people's celebrations... I got one for my daughter congratulating her on completing two years of service with americorps...

All (almost all?) of the Cruise Directors have a box somewhere at Guest Services or nearby at Café Promenade. You write out a message, and they (CD & AM) read them out on their Morning Show.
