New to RCI - help please !

We have booked a mini cruise (4 nights from Southampton) to see if we like a larger ship before booking a longer cruise. Can anyone please tell me if there will be a "formal night" on a 4 night cruise and if so what night is it more likely to be ? I wanted to book Chops Grill online as far in advance as possible but don't want to mess up and book it on the formal night should there be one. :confused:

There is usually one formal night on a 4 day cruise, and it should be on night 2.

If that 4 night cruise out of Southampton follows the pattern of every other Royal Caribbean cruise that I have ever been on, the second night of your cruise will be formal night.

Best time to go to Chops is usually the first night as they normally have that night discounted.

Formal wear was not suggested when we are there on a formal night. Formal was only in the main dining room.

Night 2 is always the 1st (or only) formal night on RCI ships.
