swcruise Posted June 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) Hello to all the Celebrity Cruisers, We are considering a Celebrity Cruise at the end of Aug, this will be our 1st with Celebrity. Will our RCI status (Platinum) be recognised as Celebrity is under the same umbrella ? Will we be invited to the repeat cruisesr and recognised cruises party ? Also, do Celebirty have a wine package for an 8 day cruise and is it worth considerationn, do they also have daily sailaway Cocktail specials ? We always use the Spa and go often during a cruise. Are there any nuggets of information you can share on special deals or best packages available. Thanks in advance S Edited June 15, 2014 by swcruise
2theship Posted June 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) Celebrity and Royal Caribbean give the equivalent status to their members. As Platinum, you will be invited to some Captain's Club events and receive some coupons in your cabin for discounts on internet and shops, etc. You might look to see if your cruise qualifies for the "123Go" package currently being offered. If it does, you can choose between a free classic drink package, free gratuities or some onboard credit. As to other tips, it would help if we knew what ship because there are some differences and I wouldn't want to get you excited about a feature that won't be on your cruise. Rare Lois R Posted June 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Hi, they usually have SPA packages with better deals on the days the ship is in port. You can check on that after you board the ship.:)
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted June 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 15, 2014 You will not automatically get the reciprocal status. You need to contact the Captain's Club with your Crown & Anchor Society number so they can set you up with a Captain's Club number.
ClaudiaB Posted June 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Check the Aqua Class cabins too. If you're spa people this would be great for you, and you'd get to eat in Blu. We always stay in Aqua or in a suite so we can eat our dinners (and breakfasts) in the smaller main dining room that is just for Aqua.
