How to b2b Port Canaveral and Port of Miami

Hi Everyone,

We are contemplating a "b2b" on the Getaway and either the Carnival Freedom or RCI Oasis. One departs from Port of Miami and one from Port Everglades. What is the best way to get from Port of Miami to Port Everglades?

We have used SAS in the past & have been very satisfied with them. Just wondering if what other options are there? Does SAS go from Port to Port?

Thanks!

Deb

SAS, QLS, MJS, Go Airport and other shuttle operators should be happy to do this - but you may get to make a stop by the FLL airport along the way and they will likely charge you slightly more than the typical $15+ per person fare.

Taxi between the ports will run about $75-80; you could rent a car one way which would allow you to do some shopping and get lunch somewhere fun.

Good luck! :)

it is POSSIBLE to do the transfer by Tri-rail to Metro-Rail to Metro-mover or bus

I wouldn't ... but it can be done

from the port's website - this tells about from Metro-Rail to the port; you would take the free shuttle from PE to TriRail to the end of the line where you can transfer to Metrorail (actually if going NORTH, reverse this!):

Public Transit

By Rail

Metrorail's Orange Line can get you from MIA to Downtown Miami in less than a half hour. From there, the walk to the Port from the nearest Metromover station (Freedom Tower) is about 1.5 miles. Or, you can catch the Coral Way Route Trolley from the Freedom Tower Metromover station to the Port. Use the Miami-Dade Transit Tracker application for iPhone and Android mobile devices to plan your route.

By Bus

Miami-Dade Transit Bus Route 243 provides rush hour service weekdays to and from PortMiami. PLEASE NOTE: Beginning Sunday, June 22, 2014, Route 243 will NO LONGER be in service.

By Trolley

The City of Miami's Coral Way Route stops on-Port every 15 to 20 minutes Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
