AmEx extra OBC with Suites/Haven

JS & 3Shar--Was just able to get the AMEX "SUITEOBCM" OBC after final payment. Called NCL to inquire as I didn't see anything in the fine print re: initial booking or prior to final payment requirement. They agreed we were eligible and asked me to have our TA call to get the OBC applied. Both of our Aft Penthouse suites now reflect a $300 OBC. Never hurts to ask!

This is in addition to the OBC we received from TA @ booking and an OBC received from NCL due to price drop. Very happy with NCL right now. :)

gggrrr, us too in May.

Oh well.

Forgot to say thank you to Videophile for originally posting this!

I'm not sure if this mailing went out to everyone with an American Express Card but I received a card a couple of days ago with a pretty sweet deal (no pun intended). If you book a suite or Haven room on board a NCL ship with an American Express Card by June 30, 2014 and use the code "SUITEOBCM" you'll get an extra $150 OBC (1-4 day cruises) or $300 (5+ day sailings).

As luck would have it, I had a courtesy hold on a suite when I received the offer. I called my TA and he was able to apply the OBC offer with the AARP discounted fare, and the agency OBC was added on top.

I hadn't seen anyone mention it here, so I thought I'd post it. I did contact CC first and they said it was okay to post this.

Good News! Our OBC was finally changed to $300. I'll give my PCC another chance since he was able to get this corrected. I'll ask about the AMEX promo but I probably won't get it.

The only problem with that logic is you knew more than the PCC 'this time'. Next time you may not know about an obc or promotion and expecting him to know and inform you is dicey at best. I would kick this guy to the curb two blocks over. On the other hand, his ignorance/laziness/incompetence is about normal for NCL.
