It's all explained here...

Specific to your question...

Use by Ship

Points are accrued and used by individual ship. You may initiate a transfer of unredeemed points if you cruise on a different Norwegian ship within 18 months. Points transferred may not be used towards points earned for a drink card on your current cruise, and transferred points do not add to tier level.

The do roll over. Sadly the link given above is worthless as it has dates from 2013.

Though it originally looked like they only stayed in place for a year, it now looks like two years.

Seems logical to me that the year doesn't matter. April 1 each year to March 31 the following year is the timeframe you have to earn points for the different tiers. Points expire 18 months after they are earned. It's all there.

I agree that it might seem logical. It would also seem logical that information that is two years out of date should be updated.

YOU’RE GOLDEN.

Earn 15,001 reward points in the calendar year, (The evaluation period is April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013) and you’ll achieve GOLDEN status valid for 12 months of earnings, and will receive more rewards, and benefits.

And, a number of folks here have shared that their points were "gathered" over a period longer than one year for tier advancement.

They don't automatically roll over. You need to go to the casino host and they will email the last ship you were on and add any points that were not cashed in on the last cruise. Keep in mind roll over points do not apply to the 1500 point free drink card.

There are two sets of points, or whatever they call them.

The ones you earn that can be redeemed for comps if high enough.

And, the ones that build up to determine your tier.

Both the sane points the difference NCL keeps track of your total April 1 to April 1 for your annual level.

How does it work if you are on the same ship? We sailed on the Gem last summer and are sailing the Gem again in July. Will previous points show up automatically? Thanks

I would still stop at the host desk to make sure they are brought forward.

Last week on the Breakaway, They cashed my points out the night before the last night of the cruise. I then played the last day/night and had 2100 points, Did they get added to my tier level? If I call CAS now will those also show up?

Does anyone know if the casino is open when docked in Bermuda? I thought I read it will be open between certain hours.

Thanks

The casino was NOT open at all in Bermuda when we cruised Breakaway last Aug. However, this past Oct. (2013) the Parliment okayed a law allowing the ship casinos sailing from NY to open from 9 pm to 5 am.
