wild0826 Posted June 27, 2014 #126 Share Posted June 27, 2014 The Hilton is only 5 minutes from the pier so once me and Ms. Rosalee found each other in the lobby we got a taxi and in no time at all Ms. Oasis was sitting right in front of us. For newbies you leave your bags with bag checkers (with a tip) and go into the terminal to check in. Have passport and SetSail Pass available and then proceed thru the security check point. Make sure you have meds' date=' swimsuit, and anything you may need because you may not see your bags you left outside with the checkers until after dinner. Ms. Rosalee goes thru security just fine. My bag is put thru X-ray twice and then I hear the security person who is checking the X-ray of my bag say "cork screw". SAY WHAT?!!!! Did she say Cork Screw? Where? Who has a cork screw? Me? Dang it!! Now the security person who checks bags for naughty items has my bag and is escorting it over to the counter. Me: No sir I do not have a cork screw but if I did what difference would it make? If you're allowed to bring wine on why can't you bring a cork screw? ...To be continued[/quote'] Don't know if I missed it but what was it that they thought was a corkscrew. Also love all the food pics. I want to sail her one day.

ILuvCruisin' Posted June 27, 2014 Author #130 Share Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) Beautiful pictures! I'm loving your review!! Can you tell me what deck you took the last picture from? We have the farthest aft boardwalk balcony on deck 12 and am trying to get a perspective of what our view will be! Thanks, LuvWilliam. Glad you are enjoying the ride. I believe we were on a cabin tour and that picture was taken from a Boardwalk Balcony. I love Boardwalk Balcony cabins. Having that view for the Aqua Theatre or the Boardwalk is wonderful enough but the you can actually see the ocean. Well that is just too special!!! Some say they hear noise but it never bothered us. I noticed today when I was looking out the window in the Windjammer that some Boardwalk Balconies on the highest deck could not see the Ocean. Also, when we were in the last cabin on deck 9 boardwalk balcony the walk to the cabin got to me after a couple of days. It is a very long walk!!! JC I didn't know your hubby was a Boardwalk Dog House Fan too. We will have to make the "Most Loaded Hot Dog" an activity for the July 2015 cruise. Checked the party spot and it will definedly work. Big enough for a party spot and there is a spot for our DJ. Will post Pinnacle Lounge pics later. Edited June 27, 2014 by ILuvCruisin'
Gator0178 Posted June 27, 2014 #134 Share Posted June 27, 2014 The Boardwalk Neighborhood is a wonderful area. Here you will find the carousel' date=' Aqua Theatre, Johnny Rockets, Seafood Shack and the Ballon Man. It has a great carnival type atmosphere with ice cream, face painting, and FREE donuts. We love it on Allure, so having it on our Transatlantic in October will be great. We also heard a Margaritaville was coming, to replace the Seafood Shack. According to the person who posted it, it was from a reliable source. Either way is OK with me. I liked the Seafood Shack and I like Margaritaville too. janeyzee Posted June 27, 2014 #136 Share Posted June 27, 2014 I think we just have to do both again -- for Oceanaria and Blue Planet on Allure and Hairspray and the ice show on Oasis! You'd better book Oasis this summer cuz Hairspray is being replaced by Cats after dry dock in October.
janeyzee Posted June 27, 2014 #137 Share Posted June 27, 2014 janeyzee what other changes did you hear about? I had heard a Margaritaville was coming, to replace the Seafood Shack. I think my friends that just got off a Bermuda cruise had heard that from someone on-board. The Dog House was the other change we'd heard of. And of course Cats will be the Broadway show, replacing Hair Spray. That was announced a few months ago.

(Dry dock is 3 weeks and begins Oct 30) I will see if I can find out about Margaritaville. "Meet the Stars"- Viking Crown Lounge, Q&A with performers Ms. Lillie with Hairspray Cast Left to Right: 3 Hairspray cast members, an Ice Skater, 2 Divers, and another Ice Skater. We were late getting there and missed hearing their names and I just hate having to list them this way. I hope they will forgive me. :o They all also perform in Come Fly with Me and the Parades. Dining Room (MDR) for Ms. Rosalee we went back to cabin to gather our carry on luggage. (please note: Ms Rosalee is a Main Dining Room Snob!!!) We met back in cabin and at 10:10. No one in line to get off ship but wait, what is this... A line and then another line and go down the escalator and then another line....... We didn't get to the Taxi/shuttle area until 11:00 am. It was long line after long line and more long lines.
