MDR Times on the Celebrity Century to Alaska

We are going on the Celebrity Century in July to Alaska. We are doing a whale watching tour in Icy Strait and it doesn't get back until 9 pm. We wondered how late the MDR is open, or will we need to opt for the Buffet that night. Thanks.

Generally the second sitting, if you are not select, is at 8.30. I'd ask the night before and make your decision then.

Actually we are select dining. We are booked for 7 pm each night, but because of this shore excursion, we'll need to change that. Just didn't know how late we could enter. Is there a limit to the time you can go to the MDR? Thanks for advising.

We're on July 6. Just switched to late seating this week because of the late ports

I think 8:30 is correct.

Is the tour over at 9 p.m.? Or is that the time you expect to be back on board? Remember that this is a tender port, so if the tour is over at 9 p.m. you won't be back on the ship until quite a bit later than that.

The tour is finished at 9:00 pm, so I guess we won't be back on the ship until 9:30. (Is that a good guess?) Is the MDR still accepting people at that time, or would we be looking at the buffet or room service?

I think that you will find the dining room closed by then and should plan on the buffet.

 

It being a tender port, your arrival time back on ship is simply unpredictable.
