Using Certificates

Ok, i have 2 certs from RCCL and my question is that the stipulation is that i must sail by March... that is impossible, we want to sail next year Decemberish.

 

I already emailed RCCL for an answer but got none.... I will keep calling or emailing but wanted to know if anyone has had experience where RCCL allowed you to extend the date to sail in order to use the certificates????

 

If and when i get an answer one of these days, I will post the result but I would like to here from you.

I have read that they sometimes allow an extension, however it's handled on a case by case basis. All you can do is ask.

 

It would help if you have a specific cruise you are willing to book immediately.

We just sucked it up and booked an extra cruise. :D

We had same situation and all I did was call RCC and explain; luckily they extended the certificates for next year, all we had to do was book by 6/30/14. Good luck

They allowed me to extend it. They changed the use by date to the book by date so in your case it would be that you would have to have your cruise booked by March but not taken by then. I called the Corporate office, not C and A or the reservatiaon department.
