Do guest staying in the Royal Suite eat with the Captain?

Stayed in RLS on Oasis. invited to HD's cocktail party as well as lunch with captain which included Captain, Hotel Director and the second in command (i think he was called staff captain maybe?). Great meal and conversation with the three staff and about 7 other guests.
