golfb4cruzing Posted July 5, 2014 #53 Share Posted July 5, 2014 I would find it very awkward to clean around people in the cabin. I would either hang on balcony or leave for 30 minutes. Ask how long he needs and go for a walk. They are on a schedule. Also I'd fix the couch myself.
Rare 4cats4me Posted July 5, 2014 #54 Share Posted July 5, 2014
Steward is not allowed to service room while you are in it to avoid claims of assault, etc. It would have never occured to me to not leave the cabin and give the steward a chance to make it up.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too

kenmerloo Posted August 28, 2014 #58 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Is it a problem to only have the room done a couple of times per week. We don't need it done every day.

We don't need it done every day.
Actually, it is a problem. They have to service all of their cabins twice a day. Once, on turn around day on a back to back, I told my steward not to bother with my cabin until the evening because I know how busy he is on turn around day. He thanked me for being so considerate but said he has to clean the cabin every day. I've seen other threads on this topic and I'm pretty sure the answer was pretty much, it's a problem.
