Princess Cays Island

Does there island have a dock or is ship anchored and tendered???

 

Am looking at a cruise next year and wife uses a scooter...

 

Can a scooter get around there for the most part ??? Am betting they have beach wheelchairs too....

Princess Cays is a tender port. There are sidewalks, etc that would be fine for a scooter. Maybe another past cruiser can answer this much better though. I hope it works out for you.

I would call Princess and double-check. I seem to remember that scooters aren't allowed on tenders any more. It's best to check with Princess as I might be wrong. It would be worse to expect to be able to tender ashore and find out then that you can't. :(

I was at Princess Cays in Feb. 2014 on the Ruby Princess. This is a tender port. They allowed pax with foldable manual wheelchairs and walkers but not scooters. My Mom had her portable folding wheelchair and was allowed.

Once in port there were several concrete sidewalks and a couple of the shops had ramps.

In April 2014 on the Royal, I saw a scooter refused on the Tender

 

Guess I will just have to put her on my shoulders to leave the ship.;)

 

Not sure besides Disney, there is a dock at any of the private islands.

 

I will have to investigate....
