cruisermsoon Posted July 9, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 9, 2014 There is a regular service to Dunedin. The fare, from memory, is around $4 pp each way. After leaving the port, turn left at the "main street", and the bus stop is a few metres up the street. Get off at or near the Octagon [ask the friendly driver if not sure]. For further information and timetables go to: http://www.orc.govt.nz/buses The route numbers are 13 [to City] and 14 [to Port Chalmers - Sawyers Bay - Ravensbourne]. Some, but not all, services terminate at the Octagon in Dunedin.
jennyg2610 Posted July 19, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 19, 2014 We are taking a Holland America cruise in November which stops in Port Chalmers but we would like to go to Dunedin. Is there a tour company or public transportation that we could use? Thanks We were in February and didn't have anything booked. When you got off the ship there is an ISite information centre. They have lists of tours you can do, much cheaper than ship tours. We did one and we waited 15 mins for the tour which was in a van that held 10 of us. Every port there is an ISite where you can book any of there tours. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
