Cabin Location

We are sailing on the Mediterranea in Feb. and have been assigned cabin 5238 on the Orfeo Deck. There is a big empty space next to the cabin in the brouchure and we wondered if anyone knows what's in that space??? I sent an e-mail to Costa but have heard nothing back. We are afraid that it might be noisy since the elevators look like they are right there! Any info we could get would be appreciated. I do have a call into my travel agent to see if they can move us, but just in case, we'd like to know what's there :confused:

We've been in this same cabin on Carnival Spirit and Carnival Pride (which are identical sister ships to Costa Mediterranea) and have booked it on Costa Med for the xmas cruise. There was no noise from the adjoining spaces or elevators. Lots of space and huge balcony if you don't mind the obstructed view.

Thanks for the info on the cabin. We ended up getting our cabin moved & we are happy with the new location as it is right in the middle so we think the view will actually be better, not as obstructed. :)
