Noise from Promenade on Deck 4 of Radiance

We are about to book a Deck 4 outside cabin on the Radiance of the Seas but are concerned that the cabin will be noisy as a result of joggers, chair movements etc on the Promenade deck immediately above.

 

Any comments from those have cruised on Deck 4 would be appreciated.

We have had Deck 4 cabins many times and never heard any noise from joggers, chairs, etc. on the Promenade above us. If we don't have a balcony, this is our preferred deck--close to the Centrum.

We stayed in an outside cabin 4554 on Brilliance of the Seas, which is a sister ship to Radiance. Deck 4 was a convenient location. Our cabin was on the starboard side, 4 cabins away from the Centrum. We never heard any noise from the promenade deck, but we did hear the music from the entertainment in the Centrum at night, which ended before midnight. We wouldn't hesitate to book an outside cabin on deck 4 again in the future, but would probably pick a cabin at least a few doors further away from the Centrum.

The last few times we had cabins near the Centrum, the fire doors were closed in the evenings, therefore eliminating/reducing noise. I wouldn't hesitate to book a room close to the Centrum.

There is no jogging track on the Promenade Deck (the track is on 12) and there are hardly any chairs. In fact I can't remember any... So no problem at all!

The few times we were on the Promenade Deck, mostly after a show, there were very few people walking out there.

 

You might here the music from the Centrum though...

The promenade deck isn't really busy or noisy...folks who go there are escaping the chaos of the pool deck!
