njgrlloves2trvl Posted July 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2014 There will be six of us in STT mid December. We are in our late 30's (ugh) early 40"s. I have been to Coki and was hoping to find another beautiful beach to spend the day. Ideally we like to swim in calm waters a little wave is ok. We'd like a bar/restaurant/bathrooms, maybe some jetskis. Emerald came to mind. Would this meet our criteria to spend the day? Much appreciation for the suggestions! blue_water Posted July 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Yes Lindbergh Bay meets those criteria, you can rent chairs and have snacks at the Best Western Emerald Beach resort. Not quite as nice as the East End beaches like Sapphire and Secret Harbor but certainly a nice day to be had!
runner15km Posted July 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Do not recall seeing jet skis.
blue_water Posted July 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2014 There are jet ski rentals - http://www.jetskivi.com/index.php as well as an opportunity to try flyboarding - http://stthomasflyboarding.com/ Actually Lindbergh Bay (aka Emerald Beach) is a good choice for a family if snorkeling isn't desired, especially if docked at Crown Bay. runner15km Posted July 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Oh darn, I find those activities distracting to a beautiful beach day. :(
blue_water Posted July 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Oh darn, I find those activities distracting to a beautiful beach day. :( Then Smith Bay would be a nice day. No chair rentals or other amenities but that's why it's a nice day.

Ms411 Posted July 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) Runner, those activities don't depart from the sandy beach area. They depart from a rocky section that's pretty far from the beach crowd, and goes straight out to sea instead of hugging the beach bathing area. That's why you probably did not notice them if you have visited in the past. You also don't see them every day.
