liquorstore Posted August 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Just back from 4 night cruise on Enchantment of the Seas. Overall cruise very nice. Didn't get off at CoCo Cay due to rain and waterspouts. Nassau fun. Took tour with Freddie's (had real good reviews) but had problems. A major inconvenience with this cruise was the huge group of Argentinian 15 yr old girls. Crude, rude, and took up bathrooms as meeting places. Noticed very little supervision and the ones we saw were young men. Service was not bad vut lackluster. Only two standouts that actually approached us and offered active service. Our waiter Sissy (and her assistant Dane) was wonderful, charming, and fun. The other was the British-accented Casino Royal hostess that approached me while I was doing a transaction at the cage. She heard my name, approached, and said she had been looking for me. I had attached my MLife account (MGM Properties Rewards partner) to my C&A account. She welcomed me as a MLife partner and offered any service I needed. All other service personnel stood around and helped you if you approached them. I'd be glad to answer any questions about Enchantment Cruise I can.

liquorstore Posted August 2, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Where did you go on your Nassau tour? Old Fort, Atlantis, older section of Nassau Island where the Chinese are building new Casino Resort to compete with Atlantis (scheduled to open 11/14), and downtown Nassau. A LOT of location info and Caribbean trivia ( didn't know natives lived in caves (saw them) at the time of Columbus). Freddie had the wrong connection time but picked us up mid-tour 30 min late but did cover the sites the others had seen after dropping them off (yes, a 1/2 private tour). Do Not take horse and buggy tour. Did that last trip and only saw bad section of town near downtown and heard a lot about family and home info. FLACRUISER99 Posted August 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Please tell me that you did not hear if more were going to be on Monday Aug 4????I don't know if they will be on the 8/4. However they seem to be on every one of the short cruises during the summer. I think RCI markets some kind of package in Argentina for them. I was on the 6/27 Majesty and they were on that cruise also.
Dunfer Posted August 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Was the Casino host's name Michelle? I was on 2 Brilliance cruises earlier this year with her. I really liked her, and am going to be on Enchantment in Feb. Can you tell me what, if any perks you got with being an M-Life Member?

Please tell me that you did not hear if more were going to be on Monday Aug 4???? We had a few hundred girls on a recent July 3 night Enchantment cruise. They were never a problem. They had a private party in Bolareos two nights and thier own beach area on coco cay. Our cabin was on the same floor as many of the girls, and we never heard them. Agreed that the chaperones don't look much older than the 15 year olds. M

As a sapphire MLifer the only perks I noticed this time was shared casino points and an automatic enrollment in C&A on first RC cruise with gold status benefits. It should mean quicker advancement in both. Edited August 3, 2014 by liquorstore spelling
SC_Floaters Posted August 3, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Dennis & Sue Here From the Charleston, SC area. The Enchantment 3 and 4 day cruises out of Port Canaveral are our favorite getaways. A half days drive and we are there. We've sailed the Sovereign 3 times, Monarch 11 times and Enchantment 5 times to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral since 2007... We've visited Nassau 26 times and CoCo Cay 19 times. We really enjoy the Enchantment, for a seventeen year old ship that sails with up to 4,800 passengers each week, we think She's great... We are booked in October and December... I've got to mention the New Years Eve Cruise on Enchantment... We did this cruise December 30, 2013, New Years Eve in CoCO Cay and New Years Day in Nassau... We have it booked again in 2014... The Enchantment knows how to Party on New Years Eve. Parties about the Ship for any taste, they had two combined bands in the Centrum doing Pop/Rock. They had a Latin band in Boleros, They had the Ship's Ochestra doing Big Band music in the Spotlight Lounge and a Pianist in the Schooner Bar. Every host/hostess started bringing out trays of complimentary Champaign about 11:45pm. There was a Buffet on the Pool Deck at 12:15am and if you were wondering what was happening in the Viking Crown Lounge, well, they started a Disco Party about 12:15AM (The First Party of 2014) that went, I'm Told, until 5AM... Reyno, the Concierge, had a party in his lounge too... The Enchantment is just a FUN ship. Dennis & Sue...
