Flying in and cruising same day?

I am looking at a cruise in Feb 2015. The flight would land about 10am ( (BWI to HOU)...would that be sufficient time to get to the port?

 

Anyone have experience with doing this?

What date in February - Galveston Mardi Gras is 2/21-3/4/15?

 

Personally, will never fly in same day as cruise again.

 

A 3 hour flight to Orlando became 5 hours due to weather. We were to land at 11am, arrived at 2:30 - 4pm before we arrived at Port Canaveral!

 

10AM landing, baring any unusual circumstances, will allow more than enough time to get to either port.

We would fly into Houston Hobby, leaving from Galveston on Carnival Magic on Monday, 2/23/15. We aren't heavy packers so will probably fly with small carryon suitcases and take Carnival transfer from the airport.

 

I would buy trip insurance, I assume that covers flight delays. But even a 4 hour delay would still get me there ontime...still debating this one :/

Sounds like a plan, chances are the sailing will be delayed because of fog. :D

We also won't fly in the same day, too much can go wrong.
