You did not say what ship or what pier, as some are more efficient than others with disembarking and customs. But generally, yes it is very doable. We typically have our FLL flights between 10:30 - 11:30 AM with no issues and plenty of time to spare. We also do so with standard disembarkation.

It is possible to make that flight but it is somewhat of a risk.

There were reports of very long lines clearing CBP in FLL terminal post cruise when the ships were ending their season in the spring.

As a rule of thumb, it is wise to not book a flight prior to noon. It is a very short ride between Port Everglades and the airport but security lines can be very long there as well.

Have you done a check to see how many ships are disembarking same day as you? That will give you an idea how busy the airport is likely to be.

You can check how many ships will be at Port Everglades at any of the following sites. Please note none are entirely accurate.

You just never know. Last February, we were stuck in line in the Customs hall a very long time. Our 8 am disembarkation time was delayed by more than 30 minutes. Then we waited in line two more times, finally emerging close to 11am. It was crazy - the shuttle to the rental car company said none of his pickups had yet emerged.

I was very glad we didn't fly out until 4:55 pm. We rented a car and spent less time than we planned at Hollywood Beach.
