Park West VIP-Pearl to Alaska 9/07/14??

Hi,

About 3 weeks ago, I was offered a complimentary cruise from Park West Galleries to Alaska on the Pearl, 9/7/14. An Alaskan cruise was on my bucket list, so I accepted. I have been to a VIP land event before, and it was wonderful.

 

Has anyone else received this offer and are going? Anyone been on a previous Park West VIP cruise?

 

Any comments, or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

For those of us that would not buy "art" even if half price, it is hard to comprehend. Not saying it is wrong. After all, I have gotten free cruises via the casino. And I know it is not free at all.

Not to hijack your thread, but we are on the same VIP cruise with you and agree with your beliefs. We have not bought any art as an investment, but for the beauty of the piece. We have had multiple dealings with Park West and everyone of them have been very good, to the point of exceeding our expectations. We have been to a Park West land event and were overwhelmed by what they did for the clients, even if you bought nothing. We had no idea what was going to happen until we arrived at the event, so to hear you have a Perks email, I'm very curious. Will you share with us your "perks" email.

OF - I hope that you have a wonderful time on your cruise. While I didn't purchase anything on my Gem cruise, I totally enjoyed the auction. My friend won a stunning picture from PW during the Spa event the first day.

Again, have a fantastic time and good luck at the auction.

I'm hoping Park West invites us on a cruise. We have been to two land events, and bought several pieces at each one, so maybe we're slowly inching our way on to the list of possible invitees. Maybe I should email our contact there...

Hi Dana...No one was more surprised than I to get the invite :eek: :D.....not sure what criteria they use, or if they just use a lottery system.

It was short notice, and it was a horrible time to take off of work, but the fact that it was an Alaskan cruise made it impossible for me not to accept, and maybe I will find a piece that I love.

Hi, Wish I was going on that cruise to Alaska.... enjoy.

 

Just back of Adriatic Cruise with NCL. Went to the art auction run by Park West. Bought 2 Giclees and 2 Lithographs in 2008 on RCI ship but have been a bit dubious ever since due to the problems around that time. Happy with our pieces though as researched the different mediums. Prob overpaid on the Giclees on pre bid but hey oh experience gained.

 

So on this cruise went back to the auctions seminars etc.Very enjoyable. Bought 2 Bellet Giclees at very keen prices. Went to VIP event and discovered Daniel Wall. Beautiful colours etc and ended up buying an original again at an excellent price.

 

Big thanks to Natassha and her team on Norwegian Jade. Waiting now for the art to arrive!! Faith has been restored in Park West hope everything arrives ok.

Well my Daniel Wall original Foggy Autumn arrived yesterday and it is amazing I love it. Beautiful colours and detail at a great price when I see what his work is going for on his website!! Thanks PWG another perfect transaction

Wonder how the cruise went, did they pressure you to buy, did you enjoy the free cruise??
