cb at sea Posted August 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2014 You'll never know it if you don't taste it! (Which is NOT recommended!)...it's as clear and sparkeling as can be! Freedom Class and above have chlorinated pools.
jmf123 Posted August 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2014 Thanks Bob; my cruising friend will be disappointed :(. Can you share the reason for the disappointment? We have a saltwater pool and they use less chlorine, are less harsh on eyes (no stinging) and swim suits, and softer on your skin. The pool water has lower salt amounts than the ocean, and is actually similar to the salt content of tears. :)
BillB48 Posted August 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2014 The salt in the pools on the Brilliance are ocean water, perhaps the disappointment.

I, personally, love the salt water cruise ship pools....and yes,to be more buoyant is great for us "fluffy" people;). Thank you all for your responses. Rare SpainAlien Posted April 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 20, 2015 Thank you for asking this question, I am allergic to salt water it makes me go all blotchy and swell up. I can't go in the sea for this reason so I guess I will also not be able to go in the pools on Brilliance, I assume that the same applies to the hot tubs :(

Aww that's a bummer :( Maybe you guys can find an all-inclusive hotel in one of your ports that offers a day pass and you can hang out at the pool for the day off the ship.
