triptolemus Posted August 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2014 Into single digits for our Alaska countdown on the Pearl!!! Any last tips!?!?! :) Be sure not to spend too much time behind the lens, and more specifically, behind the screen of an iPhone. Pictures are great, yes, but choose your shots carefully, snap, then put things away and immerse yourself in the moment.

This one usually stays pointed at the docks when the ships are there. Otherwise, it rotates between three views. http://www.earthcam.com/usa/washington/seattle/?cam=seattleskyline This was your Pearl leaving a couple weekends ago... http://mrose.org/cc/bvj2.jpg Edited August 15, 2014 by triptolemus
Firehunter Posted August 15, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 15, 2014 Be sure not to spend too much time behind the lens, and more specifically, behind the screen of an iPhone. Pictures are great, yes, but choose your shots carefully, snap, then put things away and immerse yourself in the moment. Wonderful advice. We often find ourselves trying to capture the moment and not living in it.
