Cruisingirl2012 Posted August 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2014 We are planning to purchase the non-alcoholic package for our daughter and wondering if it is best to purchase it before or only once onboard?
vulcan1971 Posted August 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2014 I would recommend on board. If you have any OBC, you can use that to help pay for it Sent from my Samsung Note 2 on the T-Mobile 4G LTE Network
Sloop-JohnB Posted August 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Onboard if you have OBC to use up. Beforehand if you don't know what you want and want to avoid any line ups / delays... When you buy before your SeaPass Card has a logo on it so it can be used immediately for the Pkg. If you buy onboard they put a sticker on your card. And any drinks that you purchased prior to the sticker you are bilked for at full price. For us just not worth all the hassle. Hope this helps, Cheers! B1G Posted August 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2014 I always upgrade my package before the cruise, a phonecall is easy IMO :)

Rare Lois R Posted August 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Depends on you.:) I agree with the obc statement....I would wait till after boarding the ship if you have on board credit coming....let the credit pay for it.:D
HappyTvlr Posted August 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Would agree waiting if you have OBC to use, but otherwise do it before if you are certain you want it just to save the time when boarding.

To add... any bar on the ship can assist you with completing the purchase of a drink package. They will be able to write up the charge, apply the sticker, and serve you immediately. Most people are going for food or touring the ship so this is a great time to get the process done. Enjoy your cruise! I always upgrade my package before the cruise, a phonecall is easy IMO :) This wasn't really an issue of upgrading before getting on the ship since the OP is looking to purchase a non-alcohol package. Although I know plenty who have and are quite happy (fearful it skews too old demographically for our tastes as of yet) Cheers! Rufferto Posted August 18, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 18, 2014 If you are cruising within the European Union, buy online. Otherwise you will be charged VAT onboard.
