Auckland Crowne Plaza

Cruising from Aukland in November. Does anyone know how far it is to the cruise port from the Crowne Plaza at 128 Albert St.? Walkable?

Hi-

I did not stay at the Crowne Plaza prior to my March cruise but it looked like an easy/fairly short walk, and most, if not all of the walk is downhill from the hotel to where the ship docks.

Yes we have stayed there. You could roll your suitcases down to the dock but we paid the taxi driver $10 and that was much easier! From memory it was 5 or 6 blocks downhill, quite steep in some places. Would all depend on how much luggage you had too and how mobile you are. Hope this helps!

Yeah it's walkable about 2/3 km from memory to pier

Its a comfortable walk , but I would not like to do it with luggage.

We stay at the Crowne Plaza when in Auckland. We get a taxi. Actually, the Corporate Taxis wait at the Crowne - no extra charge but nicer than the average cab;)

 

I wouldn't walk down to the ship from there with luggage - downhill but ...
