cruisin'mama Posted August 26, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 26, 2014 I received a reply from HAL regarding my question about Mass in Seward with an 8pm departure time. The reply says : The following service schedule will be adhered to. Hotel staff onboard will refuse group use of these rooms at these times: Catholic: Sea Day- 8am Port Day- 5pm Sunday Turn Around Day- 5pm Saturday Vigil Mass- 5pm Interdenominational: Sunday- 9am Jewish Sabbath Eve: Friday- 5pm There was nothing said specifically about Seward, but I am taking this to mean that there WILL be a 5pm Mass on our Embarkation day ( Sunday ) before our departure. Rare rafinmd Posted August 26, 2014 #27 Share Posted August 26, 2014 Does the same apply to cruises that depart from Seward at 8pm on a Sunday evening? If we board in the afternoon' date=' will there be a 5pm Mass on embarkation day? Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app[/quote'] 5PM in the Wajang theater 8/17 on the Statendam. I assume Oosterdam would be the same. http://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/location0817.pdf I assume though that there is always a possibility of a problem on embarkation day as the priest is also likely just embarking. On the Oosterdam the Mass is in the Queens lounge midship on the Lower Promenade Deck. That is Deck 2. Edited August 27, 2014 by Himself
