For all those who didn't receive the Offers....keep checking! I received mine in what appears to be the 2nd Round for Diamonds. My DD received hers as Platinum but her DH didn't so I'm thinking another round to come for Plats? Keep checking and fingers crossed for y'all! :D

I got the offer and my DW did not. We are both platinum but I do have over 120 days while my wire has about 90 maybe the threshold was the 100 day mark. We just booked the splendor we live in ny so flight only 1 way. We are going on the breeze 3 weeks before this trip for DW birthday but we couldn't pass up the offer.

Nope... 95 days on Carnival.

My wife and I are Platinum and we both received the offer with just 77 days at sea. We don't gamble and onboard expenses are low.

Our dilemma is we both can not sail on the same sail date of 10/24.

I gave her 1st dibs but she has not found someone to sail with, she has until Wed. Otherwise I'm booking as a solo. :D

I'm Diamond ...never got the offer.

ALL Diamonds were offered this.. If its not under My Offers under Your Profile on Carnival.com then call and ask for it and see if its still available to you... In addition, if you're truly a Diamond, then make sure that they correct your profile and have the correct email address on file so you don't miss out on any Diamond offers...

From what I heard ALL Diamonds were offered the 3 sailing dates and each ship had 50 cabins to fill... When they didn't fill all the cabins, they extended the offer to a handful of Platinum passengers... those that haven't cruised in a while and currently do not have any booked cruises...

Not sure if they filled all the cabins or if they might send out a new offer to additional Platinum passengers but my suggestion is to check your Offers on Carnival.com every single day -- You might be surprised and see one there for you :)

Good Luck everyone..

Oh, and btw, we have one Diamond and another passenger (who didn't receive the offer) in a cabin for two and another Diamond with two other passengers (who also didn't receive the offer) in a cabin for three and both cabins, right now, show a $200 OBC !!!!

I received the offer with Platinum ( 10 cruises before the new rules started) and 75 sailing days. Plus, I just cruised Carnival last October and another planned for this October. Doesn't seem to be a set rhyme or reason on who got the offer and who did not. Wish we could jump on one of these but already had the other cruise planned a group of friends.

My husband and I both received the offer. We are platinum. Have 12 cruises with 13 & 14 booked. 81 sea days.

We cannot use this offer. Have cruises during that time or too far to fly to Miami for 4 day cruise. Maybe next time!!

Seems there are more that can't use the offer than can?? Maybe because such limited sailings.

If you don't mind my asking, are you Platinum, Diamond or Gold? How many cruises have you been on? Just curious...

Actually, never mind... I see you have been on at least 10 and some very nice ones at that...:D

We are platinum. I have 93 days and just did a sisters cruise in May. Hubby got the offer tho. He has 85 days. We use his card for shopping gambling... But I can't think that would be how they chose him. We had so much on board credit on the med cruise that they paid us $96 before the transatlantic began. It looks like no rhyme or reason to these offers. Luck maybe since we never have any in the casino.

See you on board and I'll make sure to sing "Happy Birthday To You." It's not going to be my birthday but this deal makes it feel like it will be. ;) I didn't take a balcony. That $160. will go towards a scuba diver certification course I'm planning on taking on another cruise. I'll just pop in and borrow yours. :D

Wow! You've got a great two months of adventures scheduled. It really took me about an hour to research ways to get to NY and home from San Juan. It was cheaper to fly home on Sunday staying over in sj for the night. Hubby kept watching me on my ipad, i was waiting for his "do it" answer. He's so laid back finally a why not from him. We are not planning on many excursions so he likes the balcony. Only places we've not been, St. kitts and Antigua. Love St. Thomas to trunk bay in St. John's.

We are seeing the end of the old way of doing business and the introduction of new processes.

That’s why it seems like there no rhyme or reason.

Offers and promos driving new business from repeat customers were almost exclusively done my thru the rating/loyalty program and by in large its still done this way.

About two years ago CCl started a ‘IT upgrade’ . This upgrade was not necessarily to make it easier for the end usuer to look for a cheaper rate/price match/ rate reduction ( although it might have been one of the goals) This IT endeavor was however an introduction to data warehousing, analytics , business intelligence and data mining.

Driving an offer to attract the customer they want nn the ship to drive revenue and more pointedly to drive revenue from products and service they want to sell ( most profitalble)

While the old way is not completely done ( in most organizations they have depts. Built on old way and they usually fight the new analytics) it’s the start of a new age which really be full effect in a year or so.. then you will see a change in the loyalty program to couple with it.

They did extend the offer to Plats who have cruised recently and have cruises booked. My DD received one and she is booked on Splendor for September 6th and she just got off of the Breeze a couple of months ago. Not sure what their system is of who receives the Offers!

Everyone keep checking though (fingers crossed)!!! :D

It's unfortunate to see multiple individuals within a single household receive the offer. My wife and I are both platinum but nothing yet.

I've got my fingers crossed they send out another batch of offers, I was already looking at the Nov 6 Victory for a long bday weekend celebration! It does seem these sailings aren't working for quite a few that were offered.

1. go to Carnival.com

2. log onto your account (if you've never done it in the past, create one)

3. click MANAGE then VIFP club

4. on the left side you should see My Offers - click onto that

5. HOPEFULLY you will have some offers that you can use :)

I think there's a lot of speculation on who gets these offers, but none of us really know. Of course Carnival isn't saying.

This was the first time either of us received a special offer. I received it but DH didn't. We've been Platinum for many years. We've only taken cruises of 7 or more nights. We never gamble.

We've been on three 7 night cruises this year with the most recent in June. So that throws out the theory of Platinums that haven't cruised in a while.

Unfortunately, only the NYC sailing would work for our schedules. I started looking into it but realized l don't have the time to do the planning (air to NY, hotels in NY and San Juan, air from San Juan.) I'd book it immediately if it left out of Florida instead of NYC because we're used to flying there and cruising from those ports. We have a favorite hotel in each city. I also don't want to book it and then realize that the NYC pre-cruise costs are too high.

We are not interested in short cruises or combining 2 short ones to make a longer cruise.

So we are passing on this offer. I hope we receive another offer sometime!

I will be looking for all those folks with Platinum cards on the Splendor, who have huge smiles on their faces. After 37 cruises, I've never received an offer like this. At least I know I'm not the only "cruiseaholic" out there. I think we need to start a new support group called, "Friends of Freddy"...lol

If you are Diamond I believe you get this offer no matter what. Does your online account on Carnival show all 37 cruises?

This is our first offer. We usually cruise with 4-5 couple friends but only one other got the offer and they couldn't make it. But it was too good for us to pass up:)

Makes sense. We can hold the meetings in the Serenity Retreat. Edited by cruise pup

Well, I've done 37 cruises, but only 17 with Carnival, and 112 days. I've been broadening my horizons a bit, because my wife is a Cruise Specialst, and we needed the experience of other cruise lines, to share with clients. But, you don't forget your roots. i still believe Carnival is a great cruise line, and gives you the most bang for your buck.

With the rates they've been offering, I agree when you say "for the buck." But I find that there's a trade off with the quality of the "bang"" you get. But I love to cruise so I just deal with the stuff I don't like about Carnival. The crews seem to get friendlier with every sailing which helps a lot.
