Are you kidding me!!!????? It has been a while since we sailed Carnival and my 10 year old loved Freddy and got his younger brothers to be fans. So we get on the Dream, can't find Freddy and they tell me that Freddy is discontinued....

 

Oh... hell no! My kids were devastated.

 

They did like the force dancers and Dr. Sues but really wanted Freddy.

 

So Carnival, it does not take much... you still have all the costumes and such, just bring him out once and while.. at least for the kids.

 

Freddy is legend in my house... keep Freddy alive!

Funship Freddy was alive and well on the PRIDE, Aug 18th cruise. I got my pic taken with him:eek:.

I wish people could just recognize that some people like the mascot. If you don't like him or he creeps you out, just stay away from him. It's no reason to ban him and ruin the enjoyment of others :rolleyes:

Ellie the Elephant is the most adorable thing ever! :) Fun Ship Freddy the Block headed Freak does need to stay in mothballs. They can sell dog toys out of whatever is left over in their toy stock!

I have never seen Freddie, yet my DH says he has seen him about every cruise. Maybe I don't look for him. But Ellie was very visible and I had my picture taken with her, and it is the one shot I bought. I love my towel animals, and I love the Towel Animal Theatre.

It is strange. I have never liked clowns much, especially when I was a child, but I have always liked Fun Ship Freddy. Sorry to see him go.

My 4 yr old niece adores him, but the adults in the family find him rather disturbing. With that said, he made a 2 minute appearance in Camp Carnival on a recent cruise, but that's the only time we spotted him during the entire cruise. Perhaps he's being phased out...

I mean, I just can't believe it. We read the Freddy book the boys got on their last cruise at least once a week. They each have made "build a bear" style stuffed Freddys while on board. They will be so bummed out!
