Nope, I had mine on the Dream in January and I had to disguise it as a real magazine so the IPad police didn't see it.

 

Obviously, just joking! However, if you are talking about taking it to a show or event where other photography devices are prohibited, then the answer is "no" you cant use it.

Put it in airplane mode and you'll do fine. You can even play candy crush off line.

If you have wifi only, don't even need to put in airplane mode. If any programs need the internet, you would need to sign onto the wifi anyway.

 

I just rented some movies from ITunes, and will watch on the Legend to Australia. I am actually taking my 1st gen IPad, just to download my SD card to, and my newest mini will be for everything else. I love that I can read, play games, listen to music, and watch movies without having to access the internet.
