Just a little rant...I have three cruises booked:

1. On Miracle over New Years in a bowling lane style balcony cabin.

2. On Sunshine in an interior spa cabin in March 2015

3. On Glory March 2016- in a Scenic Oceanview (the one with the huge windows!!)

While I get that there probably won't be any OBC coming my way for the Scenic Ocean view cabins because there are only 2 on board and my family has them both.. none of the other 5 cabins I am tracking for friends have had any drops either. ...whats up with my other cruises!!? The Interior Spa has remained the same price for the entire year I have had it booked...I WANT SOME OBC!!!!

Which week in March? Might be going during the spring break season... so you might have booked t the lowest that room will sell for.

Cruising over New Years and Spring Break will lower your chances of price reductions. They will be based on Supply and Demand. Demand will be high for the periods you are cruising. I would not expect them if I were you and be extremely grateful if I got them....not mad that I didn't.

No price drops for me on Fantasy either. I booked an outside/window stateroom in January and I sail October 21st. It's an old ship which gets mixed reviews, and by all accounts the Charleston port is horrific so I thought the price might go down but so far it has only gone up. I'm going solo which means I paid the double fare. It's getting to be last minute now so maybe the price will go down but the suites are sold out so they're probably busy upselling those people to outside rooms now. It is still a pretty cheap cruise and with only Half Moon Cay and Nassau as the ports, I won't spend much on excursions. Now if I can just stay out of the casino....

Our Dream cruise the week after Thanksgiving did nothing but skyrocket. For some reason, Carnival flipped our port schedule around to visit Cozumel first instead of Montego Bay and prices went up, up UP. It's $500 more for the cabin we booked back in Feb. But I'm ok with that. I booked ES but booked a great price so if it stays up, I know I got one heck of a deal.

My November cruise has dropped 370 dollars since final payment. It helps to cruise when the kids are in school. I'm betting your problem is the holiday and spring break.

Airfare/hotels on the other hand. Well, I'm glad I booked those early!

1. I think the miracle bowling alley cabin is a 6A, obstructed view so there are only a few of those too. Plus it's NYE.

2. Spring Break trip.

3. Maybe Spring Break and your family has both of these cabins so they may be sold out as well.

Not obstructed view..just pure amazing long balcony with a full view ! :) But I agree..these are all high demand cruises but, I always cruise during this time and I have always gotten OBC...BOO!! Like I said...just ranting ;)

We will be going on our 5th cruise, in just 9 days. This will be the first time I've had an OBC. Since the ship isn't sold out yet, there have been many sales over the past month or so... I have an OBC of $ 640 right now !! :D

No price drops for me either. We have 2 bowling alley cabins (8K) on the Miracle's June 9th sailing to Alaska, and since booking them in May of this year, the prices have INCREASED by $150pp.

I'm hoping that once the ES promotion no longer applies, we'll see some drops.

We sailed that same week last year on NCL Jewel out of New Orleans and our price only went up as well. I thought it would be off season and subject to drops too but for some reason that week was busy. On our cruise it seemed to be mostly 40-60ish couples.

There have been tons of price drops on our cruise, but none for us either. We booked a spa inside in January for a cruise this month. Almost every price drop has had the requirement to give up your cabin to let Carnival pick your cabin. Since we booked a spa cabin, we didn't want to give that up so we couldn't take advantage of any of the price drops. The other drops were related to what state you live in and past guest. This is our 16th cruise, but 1st with Carnival. We were able to move my DS and his friend from a specific inside cabin on deck 7 up to a guaranty balcony and they ended up in the spa balcony across the hall from us. Our other friends also went from an assigned balcony to the guaranty and are in the spa balcony right beside my DS. And they all got lots of obc. Oh well, at least we will all be together! Even though we paid the highest price, have 0 obc and the smallest cabin. We are happy for everyone else we are vacationing with.

You're not going to see price drops on cabins with limited inventory regardless if when you sail. So you can be assured you received the lowest price. ;).

We booked a spa balcony on breeze 60 days out for the last week of last month. I thought it was a great price and knew there would be no additional price drops for me due to no ES rate. However, (and I shouldn't have even looked) if I had waited another 3 weeks to book it would have been $450 lower. And that was not a gty. So people with ES were making out like bandits :).

There is still hope.

Even if you don't book ES it doesn't hurt to watch the prices of the cruise. In May we upgraded from an interior room to a balcony for $20 on the Liberty. I just happened to check prices and the balcony rooms had dropped to $20 more than we had paid for an interior - so I called to see if we could upgrade.. and we got our first balcony room. :) This was the day before the pack n' go rates kicked in (which went up) and I assume they had a lot of balcony rooms still available and were trying to fill them up so they dropped the prices on them.

Our next cruise has actually gone up since we booked. But I also look at it as even if we don't end up with OBC - at least that means I paid the lowest rate possible for the cruise - but it's still a long way off and not during Spring Break - *fingers crossed*

Once I book a cruise I never look back to see if ones cheaper. Saves me from the disappointment. Lol

I have had 2 price drops totalling $140 my Breeze NYE cruise this year and last Christmas we were on the Breeze and had 4 price drops totalling over $600.

almost 25 cruises under my fins and only 2 ever came down in price.

Booking a year out already gave you the best pricing...isnt the spa inside as high as you can go? the lower levels will go lower before your cabin moves in price Spa cabins are very well sought after.

same with that bowling alley cabin-- the only thing higher then that is the aft balcony or a suite.

Your doing good then. I don't think I've ever gotten a price drop when I booked over a holiday. In fact the only time I got price drops was for our August 2013 Freedom cruise. We ended up cruising in connecting balconies for a couple hundred dollars less than the connecting OV's I originally booked.
