Cigarettes in Grand Cayman

Can anyone that has been to the Caymans recently tell me what the cost is for a carton of cigarettes in the duty free stores by the port? Specifically Camel Lights, but guessing all major brands are about the same. We leave on Saturday next week on Vision.

I know they sell them in the duty free stores at teh airport. Not sure about the waterfront but I suppose so.

 

An article from 2012 about duty rate adjustments in the local paper noted that "(In the airport’s duty-free shops, the current price for a carton of 10 packs of 20 cigarettes is about US$31.) "

 

I suppose you might expect some increase above that in the last couple years.

everything is imported

people mark up everything

GC is NOT the place to get a "bargain" on anything. It's the Banking Capital of the Caribbean...very, very pricey.
