Transportation to the Miami port

We are staying in Miami the night before at the Element hotel near the airport and I'm looking for suggestions on private transportation to the port from hotel. The hotel has a shuttle and it's $12 per additional person but at this point won't let me sign up until we arrive. I like to go early so I can enjoy the whole day on the ship so I'm thinking of just arranging something mysef.

Just grab a cab. It's not that far from the airport to the seaport.

Advantage airport hotels are far and way cheaper than the beach/port hotels

offering free shuttle to and from the airport - some have better connections

to shuttle services directly to Dodge Island and the cruise terminals.

 

Alternative plan "A":

Another expensive option - take the free hotel shuttle back to the airport and

meet the NCL rep in the American Airlines Bag Claim Area (after 10:30am)

on the day of the cruise and pay the per person cost of $16 - NCL motor coach

will take you directly to the cruise terminal check-in and take care of your

cabin pre-checked baggage.

Gratuity tip to the porters or motor coach driver for assistance.

This can be arranged pre-cruise with NCL - - -

 

The reverse is also possible make arrangements in advance or on the ship

for a port transfer to the airport for the return flight home - same $16 pp.

sorry, but I would not even take the NCL shuttle if I landed at the airport.

 

You have to wait for a full bus. You pay more than getting a taxi.

 

And, if you are at a hotel, just take a cab from the hotel to the port. Bingo. Done. Easy. Quick.
