TPFKAH Posted September 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Not sure what the link is, but deaths at sea are quite common. They just don't have an obit column in the daily Fun Times. I remember reading the QM2 carried 22 coffins for their world cruises.
Davey Wavey Posted September 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2014 A good site to keep handy when asking for a discount from your PVP???
evandbob Posted September 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Considering the age of many passengers, I'm surprised the mortality rate isn't higher.
just4steven Posted September 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2014 http://www.cruiseshipdeaths.com/ Kind of interesting. Interesting site, but I don't see all the people listed from the Titanic???
SadieN Posted September 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Wonder how accurate this list is? One guy jumped out of his cabin on the Inspiration. M236 - an inside cabin.
Rare crewsweeper Posted September 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Not all of these have dates but some of the ones that do are old news. So if you're looking at deaths per year relative to number of cruise passengers embarking on all ships. I think you'll find cruising a lot safer than air travel, which is a lot safer than walking in the street in any given city. But maybe some morbid story ideas for wannabe Stephen Kings or HH Munro (Sake).;)

I was looking for the history of my next Carnival ship and it showed the facts of one person on that committed suicide by jumping off ship in front of his kids so looked it up and BAM!
