hi I know it might be a bit off topic...but I was wanting some help....on a new Jewelery Box or Armoir...for my cruise jewelery as well as my "regular stuff"...I have 2 jewelery boxes on my dresser...(medium size)...one has my gold earrings, the other my silver...I have some necklaces...they are in smaller boxes ...does this happen to any of you?
I don't want to spend a fortune but would like to have something that holds EVERYTHING!...
I was looking at the items I have...not as much as I am sure some of you gals have, but its beginning to annoy me ...bracelets are there too....
Too much stuff on my dresser!....Any suggestions where I might find a nice decent size jewelery box?
Thanks!

Hi Lois - Have you looked at any of the Thomas Pacconi ones? Or are they not what you're looking for? I've just got a small dresser-top one for my gold and a keep my silver in a travel-sized silver safekeeper.

Just ordered myself a pair of white gold earrings today as a "treat". I don't think I have any white gold (yet).

Hi Lois,

If you are looking to unclutter your dresser try:

www.touchofclass.com
They have a couple of jewelry armoires. Actually pieces of furniture designed for jewelry storage. If style of these pieces do not match your decor, perhaps another store might carry something similar in a different style.

Hi Lois - I have one of those from QVC that keeps your jewelry tarnish-free. I have no idea how many pieces it holds, but it's about 14" x 10" and it's a mahogany color. I really like it, because there's tons of compartments and a drawer. There are slots for more rings than I own, so I put the posts of some large earrings in the slots and the rest of the earring can lay flat. It also has a mirror in the lid.

Good luck in your search.

One of the first Christmas presents I asked for after I got married was for a jewelry armoire. It's a Godsend, believe me! I'm at the point now where I've got so much jewelry, that I'm going to have to go through it, and figure out what to keep, and what to try and sell.

The hubby got mine at JCPenney, and I think paid about $100.00 for it on sale. They're pricey, but it's nice to have everything in one place and not have have a bunch of littler boxes strewn around.

Hi Lois,

I gave up on actual jewelry boxes a couple years ago. A friend had her whole jewelry box stolen. She didn't keep anything really valuable in it, but it was all her favorite costume jewelry pieces, which she loved! I am now using the organizer trays for jewelry that fit in a drawer. They are sold at Organized Living, in home stores and in some catalogues. They come in two different sizes, are lined in a velvety-like texture and come with many different configurations of divided compartments for different jewelry pieces and sizes. Each tray has a clear top and they can be stacked as deep as your drawer can hold. (I know that these could just as easily be stolen as an actual jewelry box, but at least they are stored out of sight and are not as visible a target.) I hated to give up the drawer space, but I love how organized they keep everything!

I AM thinking about a jewelry armoire though! I have so much jewelry, but I can't seem to find one that goes well with my bedroom furniture. It's funny how I have gone through fazes with jewelry--I never wore it much, but then when my kids were small I was the costume jewelry queen! I had so many fun sets for all different kinds of outfits. A couple years ago, I went back to scool and I guess I was so busy that I didn't bother much and some of it was kind of out of style, so I sold a ton of it at a yard sale and it was the hottest selling stuff! I had so many empty organizers that I was going to retire some of them but now I'm really into it again!! I think these trays would work well for you because of the clear toppers--you could always look in easily to admire all your great QVC finds! Keep us posted as to what you find that works best for you!

Hi Lois,

I have the QVC 10" x 14" jewelry box that prevents tarnish. I believe it is made by Lori Greiner (do a search on QVC) and was a choice between oak and rosewood. The rosewood is ultra-elegant and as previously mentioned by another poster, you can put different things in as well. I can't think of the name of the item but if it is in stock, a search will find it. I'm thinking of having one for gold and one for silver. Truly, a beautiful box, IMO.

Lois - Very pretty. That's like jewelry for your jewelry! Gotta love the "Q".

After putting away all my heavy sweaters this weekend I'm seriously thinking about Today's Special Value.
