The one time I was there (not a formal night) most people were dressed like the MDR dress code. :)

We have reserved the steakhouse but hubby really doesn't want to take a suit...nice shirt and pants are fine

Enjoy it! We love the steakhouse and visit it at least once per voyage (on ships where they have them).

Not required even on formal night. We wore nice shirt and pants, or casual linen sets. There were some in there that were a little less casual than us, but it didn't bother us. Dress how it makes you comfortable.

Done both the suit and tie as well as MDR appropriate. Got to tell you it's a really nice experience to dress up a bit and enjoy the meal with the beautiful DW in her finest!

I personally love the formal attire, my DH usually will do it for me but on this one (it's only 5 days) he asked to not take pictures (except boarding, which to me is mandatory :rolleyes:) and not have to take a jacket. I think I can oblige him just this one time.

Required? Not by the steakhouse, but you would supersede that rule. What do YOU want him to wear when you go out for a fancy meal?

When we were last in the steak house, all of the diners we saw were dressed up even though it was not "elegant" night.

It's not required, but we were not at all out of place in suit/tie and cocktail dress.
