ShipsInBergen Posted September 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2014 I've just put together a full photo tour of MS Midnatsol, which can be found here: http://shipsinbergen.blogspot.no/2014/09/ms-midnatsol-photo-tour.html I thought this might be useful for anyone considering traveling with Hurtigruten. Over the following weeks/months I plan to add tours of all of the ships in the Hurtigruten fleet. Hope this helps :)

I've recently toured Trollfjord, and got a chance to look around the Owners Suites that I missed on Midnatsol - they really are lovely rooms. ShipsInBergen Posted November 19, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) The tour of MS Vesterålen is now up too. An unusual ship to take a look round! http://shipsinbergen.blogspot.no/2014/11/ms-vesteralen-photo-tour.html Edited November 19, 2014 by UKcruise88
SarniaLo Posted November 20, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 20, 2014 I have spend 24 hours on board MS Vesteraalen and I agree with everything you say about it, particularly the awkward layout and slightly dated decor. However she has her particular charm and while I really wouldn't recommend her for a first-time Hurtigruten cruiser, I think I would now like to do a longer trip aboard, in order to get accustomed to the layout; I think the ship might grow on you. I really enjoyed her outdoor spaces and there must be great spots for Northern Lights watching. Thank you for all your articles, great pictures and texts! SarniaLo Posted April 26, 2015 #22 Share Posted April 26, 2015 MS Lofoten is now up on the blog: http://shipsinbergen.blogspot.no/2015/02/ms-lofoten-photo-tour.html Thank you for the very thorough reviews! They are very helpful and well done. MS Lofoten is my personal favorite ship of the fleet, and I know she has been submitted to some refurbishment this winter (after your pictures were taken) and I would love to see the extent of the modifications. I have seen pictures of the cafetaria (which has indeed been slightly modified) but not much about the other public areas and I wonder about the extent of the changes (if any). If you have the opportunity to go back on board and document this I would be really grateful.
