I decided to try the new “Rare Find”: Braised Rabbit. I’ve never had rabbit before. I don’t know what I was expecting, but wasn’t expecting this:

Cruise2014481_zps571f5cab.jpg

I’ve not had much wild game meat in the past. But on the cable channels, I’ve often seen a stew/chili type meal made from them. Inside the puff pastry was an EXCELLENT chili-type filling. I would DEFINITELY have this again.

Next is the apple flatbread:

Cruise2014482_zps12816857.jpg

You can see the black olives being picked off. After that, I think whomever ordered it enjoyed it.

On to the Chicken Wings:

Cruise2014483_zpse2ababd3.jpg

This is the Port of Call appetizer. I’ve not been out the Carnival area of Grand Turk; so I don’t know how many wild chickens there really are on the island to know how authentic it is. Maybe it’s more authentic to Margaritaville? LOL Anyways, these were ALSO very good.

Our last appetizer is the Gazpacho Andalouse:

Cruise2014484_zps813da513.jpg

I’m not a fan of hot tomato soup, but the person ordering it really liked it.

Now, on to the ENTREES!

First, let’s take a look at the healthy Seared Tilapia:

Cruise2014486_zpsb663fb81.jpg

Next, someone else in the group decided to try the Chick Pea Biscuits with Roasted Squash and Peppers:

Cruise2014489_zps387b4f20.jpg

In the mood for Italian? The Veal Parmesan was one I couldn’t decide between:

Cruise2014485_zpsd71f1232.jpg

I also looked VERY closely at the Caribbean Pepper steak from the Port of Call menu:

Cruise2014487_zpsaa9b6dd8.jpg

Finally, I decided to go with the Rosemary Lamb Shank:

Cruise2014488_zps04fccb7e.jpg

I posted a pic of this earlier; but I also chose this as my side for tonight:

Cruise2014490_zpscf19492b.jpg

I added the green bean to my large dish. This was one of the best meals I had all week. I ate every bit of it. And remember, I’m not much of a veggie eater!

My, I got quite a variety of entrees to post for you this evening. I hope you enjoyed.

Uh-oh….. I realized my first American Table/Feast Faux Paux….

I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF TONIGHT’S DESSERT MENU…..

So sorry, that’s life on Island time. ;)

I can assure you one or more of us had WCMC and the fruit platter was also ordered by someone every night.

On most nights, other than the fruit, someone from the table ordered the sugar-free option. Tonight’s option was a cake with coconut and lime.

Cruise2014493_zps3806cb73.jpg

I heard this was very good.

It’s also time to discuss the “Pie a la mode”. Mile, our dessert waiter extraordinaire especially recommended tonight’s selection: Peach Pie. Many of us, including myself, took him up on it.

Cruise2014491_zpsf87e43d5.jpg

It was a huge winner.

Lastly is a new dish, I think I think was called: “Topical Passion Fruit Flan”. I LOVE flan and was curious because the description included tapioca. IT… WAS….DEVINE.

Cruise2014492_zps096b9b80.jpg

There are just a few dollops of Tapioca on the side:

Next, more Comedy Tonight; but of a different variety.

When dining in the Golden Dining room, it’s nice if the shows you are attending are in the Venetian. You just stroll across the Atrium and take in a few minutes of the LIVE music playing there and, Viola! – you’re there.

Our Bingo players first settled in for a chance at tonight’s big pot. No luck…oh well.

Tonight's show was a hypnotist. I don't have the Fun Times in front of me, you'll see it listed when I post that.

I don't know if you believe it's real or fake; but I've seen these shows before, including this gentleman last year on the Dream. We had believers and non-believers in our group; we all had a good time.

So, after a fun evening; it’s time to move on to the rear Lido Deck for some ice cream:

Cruise2014494_zps9565b7b5.jpg

And, we can’t end the night without seeing who my roommate is for the night:

Cruise2014495_zps1059bd79.jpg

Cruise2014496_zpsed727bbd.jpg

I'll post today's Fun Times soon.

Bye for now, everybody!

I was up for the sunrise again and walking on the jogging track:

I’ve never taken a Selfie before. I don’t quite get the craze. But hey; it’s vacation time, let's try new things. Here’s the first one that came out decent:

Cruise2014515_zps3470a974.jpg

Time for more walking around the ship. One more chance to see the lights change colors. These are the walls in the Atrium Lobby

Today, I headed to the Omelet Station.

Cruise2014531_zpsfb3570bf.jpg

They have lots of goodies to choose from:

Cruise2014532_zpsf81e8b49.jpg

The crew is happy to make whatever you want. I tried a new combination this week; I had it three times it was so good: ham, cheese, onions, mushrooms, spinach and mozzarella cheese. See the making of the omelet:

Cruise2014537_zps684cafd8.jpg

And Viola!

Cruise2014538_zps9f9880cc.jpg

The finished omelet with fruit and another favorite: banana bread.

We didn’t arrive in San Juan until noon, so there was time to visit with the family at the back adult pool area. I love this area as you can swim or get in the hot tub and still visit with those that don’t want to be in the sun. Tthough there is sun for the sun worshippers as well.

Next: Arrival in San Juan

Old San Juan is a peninsula that you go around to get to the Cruise Terminal. Here’s a few pics going around the El Morro Fort:

This is near the fort:

Cruise2014573_zps434fdfa6.jpg

As we close in on the Cruise Terminal, this fort is my hopeful destination of the day:

As mentioned, we don’t like to be with the rush getting off; so lunch comes first!

I had the Fried Oysters and Calamari Fritters. Both were good, but the fritters were exceptional. They had calamari, shrimp, onions and zucchini.

Cruise2014603_zpsf661f957.jpg

Here’s a happy server at The Sweet Spot:

Cruise2014604_zpsa604e760.jpg

And my choices for today:

Cruise2014605_zps82fe383a.jpg

Here is Black Forest Cake, Lemon Chocolate cake (I didn't taste any lemon), and orange cake. I don’t remember what the cake was with the cream cheese frosting. I don't think it was carrot cake, but it might have been. :)

Here's a view from the ship from the Lido Buffet:

Cruise2014606_zps3ba1b0cf.jpg

We'll be getting off to explore soon.

Bye for now, everybody!

We made it to Castillo de Christobal and did a lot of walking around Old San Juan. here's just a few pics:

Cruise2014691_zps2ffbce6e.jpg

We basically walked around the perimeter of Old San Juan. The Cruise Terminal is #4. The fort is #24. The green outer line is what we covered. We figure it was around 3 miles with the extra walking at the fort:

Chocolate Panna Cotta:

Cruise2014888_zps8dcd7a91.jpg

The Pie a la Mode option tonight is Strawberry Rhubarb:

Cruise2014889_zpsdfa9239f.jpg

Here is the cheesecake:

Cruise2014891_zps1a41cc63.jpg

I was curious about the Buttered Popcorn Pot de Creme:

Cruise2014892_zps4151f478.jpg

As you can see, there's not much popcorn. LOL It was good and very rich. But in combination with the WCMC, I wasn't able to finish either one.

We made a special request with our wait staff for tomorrow night. With 24 hours notice, many things can be requested. Keep in mind to ask nicely and that not all requests can be honored. It doesn't hurt to ask. :D
