FTTF with a Suite

On the Splendor out of Miami in November. I am in a suite but bought FTTF too because of the additional FTTF perks you don't get with a suite. When I enter the terminal to I go to a special FTTF line or to the priority lounge with all the other suite passengers? I guess I'm really wondering who will have my S&S card, FTTF or suite priority group?

I was told you don't need FTTF with a suite. I would call carnival and check you may want to cancel you FTTF and spend that money on something else.

I don't know who told you that, but it's not true.

A suite gets priority embark and debark...that's it.

If you want the other perks, FTTF is needed.

OP: I can't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure you'll check in with the suite group. Hopefully someone will come along and verify.

I was on the Glory in May and I too had the suite and FTTF.

When you enter the terminal, go to the priority lounge. Your boarding tickets will say priority and this will actually get you on the ship faster than FTTF will. However, when I went into the priority lounge and got my S&S card, I noticed the FTTF sticker was not on my S&S card. I asked the lady who replied "you do not need FTTF with a suite". I knew better after reading all the posts here on cruisecritic and said yes I do for priority tenders as well as guest services..She looked at me kind of funny and finally agreed. She had to go upstairs and get my sticker and came back to put it on my card. Make sure you get your sticker!!

Enjoy your suite! :D

Thanks for the info.

Just a note too. They no longer give priority debark to suite guests. You do get a low debark number but suites no longer get the letter to meet in xxxx and get escorted off the ship.

Only suite perk now days is early embark. If you want early room access and early luggage delivery you need FTTF.

The last Carnival agent I talked to had never heard of FTTF so be careful about taking their advice.

Also, I've learned to be sure to get the porter to place an orange tag on your luggage or you'll miss out on early baggage delivery. That was on another thread.

I just noticed that Boarding Pass says "Priority" and luggage tags sa "FTTF".

According to the FAQs, suites still get priority debark.

Did it change and they haven't updated their website yet?

Priority Debarkation

In addition, Platinum and Diamond guests and those traveling in deluxe suite accommodations will receive a debarkation letter offering a choice of how they would prefer to disembark the ship. They will be given the option of Self Assist (where offered) or Priority Debarkation; for Priority Debarkation, the guest will receive special luggage tags which will entitle them to debark.

Yes. It's been changed. Last 2 cruises I did not get the priority debark letter. In some places on the web site it only states priority embark in other places it says both. Guess they just haven't completely updated everything on the web. You do still get a low debark group number I think I got a #2 on one ship and a #3 on another.

We are have a suite and FTTF. Last cruise our boarding pass said Priority and our luggage tags were FTTF. We wanted the early cabin access and priority tender so it was worth the $$. Thanks to CC we made sure to get the orange tag.

We have a suite and fttf for our upcoming cruise. The carnival rep said I didn't need fttf, but I'm hesitant to let it go, and see conflicting information regarding priority debark, which we really do actually need....

The Carnival rep is completely wrong.

As for the debark...do you have an early flight? You can get a #1 tag from the Purser's Desk.

Or ask your cabin steward for one.

Or, if you can carry off all your luggage, you can do self-assist.

Thanks for the info...we have a noon flight.

I don't think we are candidates for self-assist, since my husband is not a US citizen. We certainly would have no problem (physically) with self-assist.

I had a grand suite on the Paradise in April and we had priority debarkation. Make sure you get the sticker on the back of your sign and sail card. If they don't put one on guest services will.

Totally worth the money for us, as the room was ready when we boarded. Also, they take you to the front of the line for tendering.

We are traveling out of long beach in the AM. We always get faster to the fun, and have never gotten outr bags before 6pm. This trip we are in a owners suit and yes,I am keeping my F2TF

That said, do they have these orange tags in long beach

Citizenship has nothing to do with getting off the ship. Only a very few ports do Non-US paperwork onboard. (San Diego is one of these.)

I saw them on luggage in the Inspiration's hallway on the way to our cabin. We usually do carryon. The porters are located inside the parking structure.

According to this, only US citizens can participate in self assist in our port (Jacksonville). This is what I was referencing...

I have signatures turned off. So I can't tell where your sailing from.

Every port is different.
