Looking at the jewel for next year as want to do Los Angeles and San Francisco, any one been on recently and got any views, just been on freedom will it seem very small?

No one will have been on that itinerary as it is new to Jewel.

 

Jewel is a beautiful ship, and while it is smaller than Freedom, it is still a large ship, and it don't think it will feel very small to you.

Jewel is one of my favorite ships ! I would pick Jewel in a heartbeat, and have been on all classes.

Book ASAP - the prices have done nothing but increase. The western market is STARVED for these cruises! :eek:

We have sailed on both the Freedom and the Jewel, we prefer to sail on the larger ships with a royal promenade. We found the Jewel to be more crowded at times as it does not have the room for the crowd flow.

 

Having said that, we are leaving on the Brilliance in two weeks and are also booked on the 8 night Jewel Vancouver to LA cruise next year.

 

The Jewel is a pretty ship that has a very different feel compared to Freedom. Each class of ship has something different to offer. Give it a try and if you find it is too small for you, book at least a Voyager class ship in the future.

 

We want the itineraries that the Brilliance and Jewel are offering so we are willing to compromise.
