I asked for and received a cheese plate for dessert last week on the MDR on the Oosterdam.  It was not on the menu.  
 

FYI, I also asked for extra vegetables and an entree without sauce.  Modifications and simple requests were not a problem for my fixed dining server.

As recently as September/23; I have asked and received a cheese plate.  Even though it is not included in a menu; a simple request is sufficient.  I am not fond of a sweet ending to a meal; and the cheese plate is preferred.

Caribbean curried lamb (the Exc special), Caribbean jerk chicken breast, grilled salmon w. capers and dill,  8 oz NY striploin, flat iron steak chimichurri, parmesan panko baked hake + upsells.

There are several items I would enjoy on that list!

Glad to see some ships still have cheese plate by request in MDR. Missed it on last few cruises, will try again on upcoming cruise on Noordam.
