I really feel bad for the 4400 passengers on board Breakaway tonight . . . their minds are filled with all the things they need to do for debarkation, packing and transportation home. I have been there and felt that pain. . .The good thing however is that I will be sailing tomorrow (rain or shine). My plan is to be at the pier by around 11AM. I am hoping that the traffic is not too bad tomorrow as I know sometime Manhattan can be a headache.

.

Looking forward to reading your live review. I was one of those passengers last night. I literally cried on my H6 balcony last night! :( we had an amazing week! Hope to do it again one day. Hopefully I don't get too depressed reading your review!

Watched the sailaway and waved. Mark, did you see the Maersk Line freighter cross your bow in the harbor? From the camera angle, it looked like she was heading right toward Breakaway. Phew, glad she missed you. Hope you have a great cruise, no bad weather issues and looking forward to your review.

I saw that as well; it looked to close for comfort.

Sorry Luvs. . .I was on Deck 8 AFT during most of the sail away so I may have missed all of that.

Hello everyone. . . Welcome to an evening edition of “LIVE” from Norwegian Breakaway on Day 1. It seems that a bus load of passengers kept the Captain from leaving on time today as we left Pier 88 about 45 min late. It was suggested that it will not cause delays as we head down to Port Canaveral on Tuesday.

Right after we left the pier I started to walk around to see what I could see. I am not familiar with this class of ship . . . but give me 24 hrs to get my brain straight on where things are on which deck. I really love the layout, and I think it will become easy to figure out after I make a few wrong turns.

I had dinner tonight up in the Haven Restaurant and I can imagine myself dining there often this week. There seems to be a lot of Cruise Critic Roll call members staying in Haven Suites as well so I am sure I will be able to meet many of them tomorrow at our M&G.

The iConcierge App works very nicely on my device, and my iPad. It seems that the MB plan is back in action on Breakaway as a test, and I really love it. The cost is 1GB (1000MB) for $89. The speeds are nice and I was able to send many pics to my server, and I am able to use this service on my Laptop, Device, or iPad. There is a Log in that must be used as you register each device.

I only was able to catch a few moments of the Welcome Aboard Show, but it seems that NCL is very proud of the entertainment that is being offered, and the performers seem happy to be here. I have a lot of shows and dining to experience this week, so I may comment on the ones that I find enjoyable.

Here are a few pics from today. . .More pics tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in. . . .

Radio, you get Champagne in your room and fruit? RC never gives that kind of treatment, lol.;)

Well yes I did. . . I do not drink Champagne, but the fruits, and canapés' are very nice.

Good morning Radio.....I noticed yesterday when you were sailing down the Hudson, that it looked like the Breakaway didn't have a covered Promenade deck to sit on or walk around. Is this the case? That would be really disappointing to me. I love the Promenade decks on Royal. Love just sitting there (under cover) and watch the world go by. Plus like walking on that deck, away from the sun. Other than that, the ship looks great. Can't wait to see the rest of it. Your pictures are great, as always.

Thanks and I hope you have great weather and a great cruise. :D

Can't wait....going on the 12 day in January and eating up all the information I can!

My wife along with two other couple will be on the Jan 4 course. Even though I have been on the Breakaway once before I can't stop reading about her.

I can't remember, we have a large group of people on our roll call, but have you been to visit us on the January 4 roll call? Your name sounds familiar.....come back!

Hello everyone . . . Good morning and welcome to DAY 2 of “LIVE” from Norwegian Breakaway. I had a good sleep last night (even after I consumed a very large Hot Fudge Sundae). I am not a big fan of the programming that is onboard, but it will due for a few night.

I awakened promptly this morning at Radio dark 30 (5AM), and wandered around a bit to see what I could see. The ship is very quiet that early. . .as it should be, but I was surprised to see that the Casino was still open. It has been suggested that the Slots will never close until we arrive at a port of call.

I missed the Port and shopping talk this morning, but I have a Meet and Mingle at 11 which I will attend. I might be able to make it to “Secrets of a flatter stomach” class later today.

Actually, today will be a day of rest and relaxation. . .after all, isn’t that was a cruise is for?

I have been invited to an Officers party later tonight, and I should be able to see the “Burn the Floor” spectacular in the Stardust Theatre later tonight.

We are currently 489 nm from Port Canaveral (about 30nm East of Cape Hatteras, NC). . .we should arrive at PC by 12PM tomorrow. It is currently cloudy and rainy, but the sun looks like she wants to come through. . .We will have to see what happens.

Here are a few pics from this morning. . .Thanks for tuning in.

I'll be going aboard as you are debarking. Can't wait! Quick question for you: On the picture that is captioned "Heavy clouds rolling in"---from what vantage point did you take this photo? I am hoping that my balcony is a little more private than some of those that you can see right into:eek: Thanks, looking forward to keeping up with your journey.
