marnie2005 Posted October 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2014 Does anyone know if bathrobes are provided on the Dawn? Hoping not to have to pack mine... Thanks!
Gracieismydog Posted October 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2014 There weren't any in our room in July, but we only had a balcony, but a suite or anything special.
kingoftheicedragons Posted October 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2014 I believe that they are in the suites--we did see a couple of people on the ship walking around in a robe. However, we did not have any in our cabin.
Rare All-ready2cruise Posted October 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2014 Bathrobes are available on all NCL ships in Balconies and above, however, if they aren't in your closet it could be that they aren't cleaned when you board. If you really want one just ask your steward and while it may not be available right away they might have it for you at turndown time the first evening. Good luck and enjoy your cruise. :D
marnie2005 Posted October 11, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted October 11, 2014 Thanks everyone! We are in a inside cabin , so I guess I will be packing my robe! Carnival inside cabins do supply robes... Just sayin'
leekel619 Posted October 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2014 I've never used their robes. Definitely wouldn't be seen walking around in one. I spend months choosing my cruise clothes to pack. [emoji47]
Barb Nahoumi Posted October 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2014 I had a nice thick terry robe when I was in a suite. The last time I was in a balcony cabin the robe was of a thin waffle-like material.
Love my butler Posted October 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2014 Does anyone know if bathrobes are provided on the Dawn? Hoping not to have to pack mine... Thanks! Your room steward will provide a robe to you when asked. Does not matter if you are in a studio, inside etc. Simply ask and they will get you one. rvsullivan Posted October 11, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 11, 2014 As mentioned, they will try to get you one. They are pretty flimsy though if you aren't in a suite.
Bars7816 Posted October 11, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 11, 2014 We had robes on Breakaway in a BA balcony. Always wanted them -- but looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy in mine!:D And besides, hanging on the bathroom door, two robes took up most of the room! fonekween Posted October 12, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 12, 2014 We sailed on the Dawn to Bermuda the end of August over Labor Day, had a mini suite, & yes, there were two comfy bathrobes provided. We found them hanging in the closet. Hope you enjoy your cruise....when & where are you going?
marnie2005 Posted October 12, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Thank you for the replies! We leave Friday for Bermuda, sailing from Boston. Fingers crossed for a smooth sail and nice weather while in port!
AEckhardt Posted January 12, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Are the robes in the Dawn's suites like the ones in the Haven on the other ships?
gurglegargle Posted January 13, 2015 #14 Share Posted January 13, 2015 I had a balcony room, and we got robes on the second night. They were the waffle-like material. I only wore them in our room or on the balcony, I don't think I would wear them anywhere else on the ship.
AEckhardt Posted January 13, 2015 #15 Share Posted January 13, 2015 The Haven robes are heavier with a soft terry inside and a cloth outside. I am interested to know if the suites ( where there is no Haven) have a similar style or if they are the waffle like kind like in the balcony cabins. Either way, I don't plan on walking around in public with them, lol. They are nice to hang out in between the shower and dressing for dinner! :)

They are nice to hang out in between the shower and dressing for dinner! :) (Thought I had posted a response, but it seemed to have gone "poof"!) The Haven bathrobes were really terrific, with the sort of micro-fiber lining, like some baby-soft fabrics, and an outer layer. That inner layer was *so* soft! The regular suite robes on the Dawn (we were in DOS in September; can't speak for others) were nice terry, but nothing like the Haven robes on the Pearl 2 weeks ago. AEckhardt Posted January 13, 2015 #17 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Awe, that's too bad. I loved the Haven robes! I will be in the DOS this coming September, so your comparison was very helpful.
