Future cruise deposit question

Hi all - I am wondering if it possible to purchase a future cruise deposit for someone other than yourself? My husband and I have been thinking about purchasing one as a gift for my parents, if that even is an option. Thanks!

I think some people here have done that before, but not sure if you need to have their mariner#.

I've done it without a problem on HAL. If you don't have their Mariner numbers (if they have one) the FCC can look them up on the computer.

Thank you for the info! They do have Mariner #'s. I know I can look up their Mariner number online on the website. Trying to surprise them for Christmas ;)

We plan to buy a FCD for our DD, too, on our upcoming cruise, in the hopes of persuading her to join us on a cruise next year. I think we have her almost convinced!:D

We did this in September for our friends. The FCC will look up their info.

 

What's neat is out friends can't purchase the FCD themselves because HAL doesn't allow it for their country, so it was a special bonus.

Thanks everyone. I will give HAL a call soon. My parents were talking after we came home from our cruise about how they'd really like to go back to Alaska and maybe for their 35th anniversary. The deposit will really get them the push to do it instead of just talking about it :D

 

The adoption offers... hahah If I adopt you all, there won't be cruise deposit money left for anyone! :p
