big al Posted October 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Hi all..A few questions about those of you who have experienced the new C & A program with the discounts already loaded on your Sea Pass card: I was told by an RCI agent that you will find A LIST on paper in your cabin listing all the amenities & discounts you will get so you can actually SEE THEM..I'm Diamond & sailing the Oasis 10/27 & just curious..also, how did it work? Any problems? Thanks! Big Al
Rare Lionesss Posted October 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2014 With our loyalty gift we recieved a generic letter from RCZi thanking us for sailing. On the back of the letter were listed our entitlements. We are emerald. And it listed everything. Enjoy. Clarea Posted October 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2014 The new coupon system works fine, we've had no issues with it. You're correct in that you will get a list of coupons in your stateroom. You can also ask any bartender to print a list of your remaining coupons. One thing to keep in mind is that you should tell the server whether you want to use a coupon or not. For example, if you order 2 cans of soda, you might want to tell them not to use the 2 for 1 drink coupon because you want to use it on 2 more expensive glasses of wine later. Langley Cruisers Posted October 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2014 IF for some reason you do not get a list of the coupons, you can go to Guest Relations and they will print off a list for you. No problem.

jticarruthers Posted October 17, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 17, 2014 I'm the unlucky guy that seems to struggle with them every time :) The only ones we really use are the 2 for 1 drinks (took us 2 days and 5 bartenders to get someone who could make them work on Allure) and the photo discount (that ended up being worthless because it wasn't combinable with the package deal so there was no sense using it). In theory I have no problem with having the piece of paper telling me what was loaded on my card, but it never seems to work out for me. Was much happier handing my coupon for a BOGO drink to the waiter and not worrying about it.
Rare orville99 Posted October 17, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 17, 2014 They worked well for us. The best ones were the Diamond drink coupons. We frequented the Schooner bar, and the first night we asked for the receipts so we could add a tip. After that the bartender seemed to get "forgetful" and didn't always run our cards through the register. The three drinks never seemed to quite get used up - there was always one or two left over after we had consumed our three and went to buy the next round - "Do you want to use your coupon? You still have one left":)

Aww. :( We hear you. We had troubles on one of our Serenade cruises and ended up just saying "Forget it.". I hate myself for saying this, but I wonder if some bartenders don't make it work on purpose so that you do end up just paying for both drinks, thus their tip is based on the full price of two drinks... makes one wonder... ? . critterchick Posted October 17, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 17, 2014 We are slowly getting used to the new system. On Allure, a bar server used my 25% off for a soda without asking me, and another used my BOGO for a couple of beers, again without asking (I was able to get that one reversed, and the Concierge gave us a small OBC for the other). Now I mostly remember to tell the server whether I want to use the coupon. We did not get anything in the cabin on our most recent cruise, so we went to the LA for a printout. DH's 25% coupon never loaded, but he got two BOGOs, which worked out better. Although I like not having to haul coupons around, I think the system is pretty buggy. Usually they hand me the drink with a bill for $8 or $9 and I have to point out it should be complementary (of course, during the applicable timeframe) and I point to the word "diamond" on the card. I'd like to think it is an innocent mistake. Unlike the person above me, I do not believe the bartenders get any gratuity on the free Diamond drinks, as when the coupon is applied correctly, is clearly shows zero gratuity, but you can always add one. My seapass bill showed multiple $8 or $9 charges, with a negative $8 or $9 change, and then if I tipped, there would be a $1 charge. . The way it was explained to me by the bartender (whom I had already tipped on a previous "free" round) was that I didn't need to do that since RCL backfills the tip amount and they cover the cost - so you would never see anything on your bill. audome78 Posted October 17, 2014 #19 Share Posted October 17, 2014 I agree. The worst part is that I wait on my bogo for a really expensive glass of fine wine. Of course, I always forget and the bogo gets used on 2 Coors Lights. I seriously ask to have the transaction reversed. Happens every cruise. When you send laundry down, you have to fill out a form. When filling out the information you will included your name, cabin number and Folio Number, which is located on your SeaPass Card. Same with the Internet. When creating an account you must include your Folio Number also. Every On Board Offer is identified by your Folio Number, and you each have a different Folio Number so make sure that you don't use the same Folio Number twice.
