carnival "casino rate"

Probably just depends. I booked a "regular" casino rate and it was quite a bit less than ES or PG rates, but it's hard to know because it also was no solo supplement, so it was nice and affordable (this was Pride last May).

I'm booked on the Premier Casino cruise on Freedom on 11/29. That promotion said "up to $600 off" but I didn't pay any attention to what the regular rate might have been. Going solo so paying double, but my 200% solo fare for an inside is still less than any other rate has been.

I really only look at what a cruise is going to cost me. If I'm ready to book for a particular time frame, I look at my options and see what fits my budget. If I can afford it, I book. If I can't, I don't. I'm not one of these people who books at whatever the going rate is just because that's the cruise I want.

If I were independently wealthy and price was no issue, I probably wouldn't be sailing on Carnival anyway (but I do have #20, #21 and #22 booked).

This probably isn't much help, but that's how I book my cruises. If the casino rate is the lowest and it's a cruise I want to do, and is within my budget, I book it. It isn't about how large the discount might be but whether it's at a price point I'm willing to pay.

I imagine it fluctuates with each sailing. I can't recall how much I saved exactly on my most recent booking vs. Past Guest or ES. I don't book ES because of the restrictions. I believe it was a couple hundred less overall. It also varies how much on board Casino money you will receive as well, I will only receive $50 and I have read others are receiving much more than that.
